Located in NYC
It has a slight buckle in driver rear quarter, near gas cap, and minor damage to corner of bumper cover on the same side. Taillight is cracked, but replacement comes with car.
Motor is fine. runs strong for 134k. Completely stock except for K & N and airfoil. No knocks, does not blow smoke. Original clutch.
Do you have a pic of the int and the motor?? also does it have drum or disk rear brakes ?? what about the exhaust does it have N10 dual converters .. if you could take a pic of the codes in the console or whereever they are .. thanx
I will attach the pics I took of the interior. The front seats are mint, I just always have kept them covered to keep them clean.
I did not take a pic of the motor, I will do so this weekend and post. I will do the same with the codes decal in the center console.
I'm not sure of what the N10 code is, but yes it does have the dual cat converter system, and four wheel disc brakes. These both came as part of the "Performance Enhancement Goup" as listed on the original window sticker:
- Power Brakes, Disc FRT & RR
- Engine Oil Cooler
- Dual Converter Exhaust
- Performance Axle Ratio
Thanks. Let me know if you have any other questions.
FYI.... GM AM/FM with CD player is installed in car. It came out of another 1991 Formula that a friend of mine did not want. The original AM/FM with cassette is in the trunk, will come with car.
Also comes with car:
-Bra
-custom fit car cover
-Extra Tail lights
-Extra pair of grey interior arm rests. The originals are perfect. But the price was right so I picked another set.
-2 rear hatch pulldown motors. Bought on Ebay, haven't gotten around to replacing. The original works, but needs some help.
- Any original dealer docs I have for the car: build sheet, window sticker etc
Can you post more pics of the back and some pics of the buckle/body damage?
I live in Brooklyn and Im very interested.
I think Ive seen you once at pep boys on 4th ave in Brooklyn a few years back.
How did the body damage occur might I ask?
The unfortunate damage occurred a while back after running the car thru a car wash. My foot slipped off a wet clutch pedal while backing into my garage space, the car jumped backwards. Man was I pissed! Not a good day.
Oh, and I'm quite sure I've never driven the car in Brooklyn. Must have been another good looking Formula you saw!
Winger,
RE: 3500 if you can have it shipped to chicago, IL - I don't have a problem with putting the car on a truck for shipping, but this will be the buyer 's responsibility and expense. The reason is simple. Once the car is paid for and put on a truck, the car belongs to the buyer. I think the buyer should be selecting the trucking company and making the arrangements. I will do what is necesary to be available for the pick-up and ensure the car is safely and securly handed over. But once it goes on the truck, I have no further responsibility. At that point its between the buyer and the shipping company.
So if you are serious let me know. By the way, a few years ago I had a car shipped from Chicago area (a 1980 T/A Pace Car). It costed about $600 then.
I just want to make sure we are on the same page. All I have is $3500. So My offer of $3500 included shipping. I'll look and see what I can come up with shipping prices and i'll get back to you but in the meantime can you please pm me your adress so I can start looking for quotes?
I once bought a car in Northern Michigan and had it shipped to Miami, Florida, it was about 650.00 on an open trailer and took about 4 days, not bad and easy process. The closed trailers though are expensive, maybe if it was a luxury car I would have. They also do a complete exterior inspection of the car and mark all nicks and dents and have the ( broker in my case ) sign it when car is released to carrier. Also had to pay state tax and insurance on car too before it was released and shipped. Nice blue, not many. Andy
Is this car still available? I just found out today that one of the seniors at the school that I teach at is looking for a stick Firebird in the $2k range. I'll show him this ad.
Thanks for the reply, Steve. I'll let the kid know tomorrow. I showed him pics today, and he loved the car. It is slightly out of his price range, but he's going to see whether his parents will loan him any money.
Bump for a nice car, I have one the same year, color, options. Love it! Paid $3500 for it and it barely ran, paint is peeling. Presently resto-modding the car, this one would be a great candidate.
