Im selling my 1991 Trans Am GTA. There were only 829 of these made in 1991. It is a Flame Red, auto, with the 350 l98. It has a Dynomax 3" cat back exhaust, It sounds great, real mean and deep. New EGR, Cap, and rotor, Platinum plugs, taylor performance wires. It has a small idle problem caused from the Idle Air Controller, which will be replaced before sale, probably this weekend. In addition to the chip encoded key it also has a push button start. It runs, shifts, and drives excellent. It is originally a Texas car. It came up to Ohio a year and a half ago, so it has no rust anywhere. It has never seen snow or salt. However the hot Texas sun did fade the hood and roof some. So it wouldnt hurt to have it painted. It is now stored in a garage every day. It has a nice front bra on it as well. The windows are tinted. It has power windows, mirrors, and locks. Cloth interior is in good shape except one small tear in the driver seat. It has a off brand cd player but it does work great. It has a set of 17 inch centerline wheels on the back and 2 of the stock wheels on the front. I dont know a whole lot about the car, I traded a guy another car for this one. The only reason I am selling is I need to get my blazer completed and I cant afford to insure all my cars. I can e-mail pics to you or meet you with it anywhere around the coulumbus ohio sawmill rd area. I do not have it registered or insured so I cant drive it far. Im only asking $3500 out of it, even though I know it is and will be worth alot more due to the low production numbers. Feel free to e-mail or PM me with questions or for more pictures.
How about the Milage? I see there is no spoiler, is there one included? Do you have the other 2 factory GTA rims also to go witht he car or is it just the 2 GTAs in front and the 2 Centerlines in the back that are coming with the car? You may need to inegrated more pics of the interior into the thread. Honestly, and believe me, I'm not trying to cut down your car but considering the new owner would be looking at getting a new paint job and 2 more factory rims along with needing a wing and who knows what the interior looks like along with milage, the $3500 doesn't sound that enticing. And this is coming from a person that has an itchy finger and wants to buy another Thirdgen VERY VERY badly! Please let us know more info. Thanks
Sorry I havent got back to anyone. I thought this ad was dead. I just moved so I cant find my digi cam yet, If I write down the rpo codes will someone run them for me? I was told by the last owner it was a GTA. If it is not then that is news to me. The people that have came to look at it so far have also agreed it is a GTA. If some one runs the codes and discovers it is not a GTA I apoligize, Im not trying to rip anyone off. If I can find my camera today I will write down the codes and post them. Will the Vin help any? Thanks for your help.
Just post up the RPO codes here. If I see it I'll decode it, but just having them up will allow people to decode it. In the end, and no offense intended, no one should buy any car until they see a pic of the SPID IMO (your SPID is located inside the rear hatch storage compartment lid; driver's side).
Yeah, the big giveaway would be the "Trans Am" lettering right on the back bumper (which no GTA ever had), and someone would be a fool to put standard TA decals on a GTA.
Thanks for the info guys. The car is sold. Just FYI also, It turns out it was a GTA according to the RPO codes. The guy that bought it, who is also on here, ran them for me and said it was. Thanks for all the help guys. I have a another 92 Firebird Ill be listing up soon. With the money from this I can now put in a tranny for it, then sell it. Ill put pics up soon. Thanks!!!
