I bought this with the intention of restoring it but have run out of steam. I have put a lot into the car already and will do my best to list everything here.
1989 Firebird
V6 Automatic
T-Tops
The good stuff:
New tires
New shocks/struts all around
New springs all around
New Brakes
New wiper/washer resevoir and pump
Two new aftermarket front fenders - still packaged
New wheel centers in box
New Pioneer CD player/radio
The car runs very well - it starts up quickly and has had all the fuilds changed recently. The car only has about 69,000 original miles on it.
The bad stuff:
The car needs some body work - both doors need some major work or replacement. The rear of the car (quarter panels, roof, hatch) is all in good shape. The car has a very bad paint job which I have found out was not uncommon for these year cars.
The AC does not work - I have no idea why.
The hatch pull-down motor stopped working but I have a new one sitting in a box in the trunk waiting to be installed.
I am asking $2,500 based on the amount of money I have put into the suspension and the car in general and the low mileage. I believe this car is an excellent candidate for restoration for the right person.
