'92 TA 350 TPI T56 For Sale

I bought this car to drive right away, but it needs a bit of work, and my working facilities here are abysmal. So, I am going to get rid of the car and get something else.

Check the production data, and you'll see that there were only ever a few hundred of these cars made.

This one has a freshly rebuilt T56, B&M Ripper shifter, 4th gen leather seats, Edelbrock headers, 3" mandrel bent Hooker exhaust, black GTA rims with new tires, Cyberdyne A-pillar gauges, aluminum driveshaft, STB, boxed LCAs and panhard bar, poly bushings in front. I am also told that the brakes were upgraded to Vette pieces in front, though I haven't had the wheels off to check.

Odometer shows high miles, around 170k, and I don't know if the engine was rebuilt, but I am guessing that it was. Ran strong, pulled hard, idled smooth up until I pulled the radiator out a few weeks ago.

The bad? Could use a paintjob, there is rust in a few places, and some previous owner did some hacked up wiring work on a few items. For someone with a decent place to work and the time and money, this would be a plain sick car...looks awesome all black, and not something you can just go out and buy anytime you want since so few were made, and fewer remain, 14 years later. Plus, it's already got a T56, which is such a popular upgrade.

If the car doesn't sell in the next week or so, I'm going to start parting it out. It will hurt me to do it, but I will get my money back, one way or the other. I can easily get more than $5k out of the car in parts, but if you want to buy the whole thing and save it, and save me the work of parting it, PM me your best cash offer. As they say, money talks.

Thanks for your time.

The clock ticks on this car. Parts will probably start coming off next week, so PM me with offers or questions.

Let's see...only a few hundred ever made, less than that around now...yeah, it's worth buying and saving

I definitely am not up to the task of shipping an engine! If the car gets parted, that large, super-heavy stuff will be for local pick-up only, sorry.

Yeah, if it comes to parting the car, the tails aren't going to go cheap since everyone wants them. The prices for them are pretty ridiculous.

Thanks, man. Doesn't look so good for her right now. Teardown will probably begin towards the middle or end of this week.

I'm guessing it's already started from what I saw posted on another site...

Very true. And from what has been posted here, too. It is very, very sad that such a rare car is worth so much more in parts than it is whole. In 20 years, when I tell people I parted out a 1 of 300 '92 TA 350 TPI, they'll be like "what?!". It'd be like telling someone you parted out a Yenko or something.

But, if it comes down to parting the car or losing my shirt on the deal, the car's gonna get stripped .

Sad but true. Hurts, though. Thirdgens just haven't reached their full potential yet. I have to laugh when I see rusted out Mopar and old Pontiac hulks go for thousands of dollars, while nice thirdgens sit stagnant at low prices. That'll change, though.

Don't think anyone is going to scoop it up, unfortunately...already started taking some small stuff off the car. I work slow, though.

How much are you selling yours for?

I didn't do the T56 swap, so I can't tell you how easy or hard it is...not too bad, from what I hear.
