What is a 1984 TA worth???

Hello, hope it is ok to thread here though im not really interested to sell. I love my car.

But very curious about a value....I have a mint condition low mileage Trans Am and was wondering if anyone knew what it could be worth. There is no paint or body repair history and has original miles.

1984 Trans Am absolutely clean and original
White with black trim and ground effects
Grey interior mint condition
48,000 miles on 305HO with G VIN
original carburetor still has factory plugs
automatic trans
Option loaded with TTops (other than minus pwr locks)
Never driven in winter
Original wheels have no scars or visible wear

Again, just curious, and i appreciate your information.

I'd say you can probably get about 4k if you find someone that is looking for a somewhat classic car. Most people wouldn't want to pay more then 2k for a car that old I suppose.

good point about the age with original parts. thanks

these are what have been replaced only due to them being almost 25 years old --- new radiator, waterpump, battery, brakes, tires, shocks, struts, heater core, belts, hoses, all black stereo with equalizer and cd from later GM car (would have been cheaper for me to spend a few hundred dollars on an aftermarket radio, but i wanted it to look factory), also new high flow cat converter and Flomaster exhaust system

soon to have replaced seat covers (has cloth and i want custom leather), edelbrock performer intake

I'd say you could get around 6k.
Unmolested, original cars are getting rarer as we speak and prices for early Thirdgens are definetly on the rise!

Re: What is a 1984 TA worth???

Update since last post:

Well, I was relocated by my employer a few months ago to the Chicago area and didnt have anywhere to store this car. I didnt want to sell, but also didnt want it to be outside in an Illinois winter. So, I located someone out of state (or perhaps he located me :-) who was interested in it and offered me $7,500.

Sold it. He was excited to get it, and I am happy it will go to someone who will store it as I did and only drive it on sunny days and holidays.

Just wanted to Thank everyone on Third Gen for offering great advise when i was working on it.

Maybe when I get a garage, I'll get another one!
