Yes it did. It was 1 of about 532 made with the T-Top/5.7 Combo. Look it up...
Can you post a link to the info? I know that for '92, ONLY the Formula could be had with the L98 and t-tops. I thought '91 was the same, but I have no problem being corrected, so I'd like to see the info.
Sorry, but T-tops were not installed with the 5.7 only the 5.0. The 5.7 was only available with a Hardtop. Also, all T-top equipped car's came with Rear Drum brakes...Rear disks were only installed in the 5.7 hardtop cars.

Well, again, this depends on the year in question. T-tops and the 350 came together as an option on both Camaros and Birds at different times during the thirdgen production run. T-top cars also could have rear discs, my '92 Formula has them.

I see upon closer inspection of the photos it has aftermarket(c and c)t-tops....as for 91-92 5.7 cars with factory t-tops..the formula was the only one avalible to get that option

That only stands true in the 91-92 model year(with the exception of the formula)...as for disk rears...they have been an option since 1982...you could get them in 5.0 carbed-5.7tpi..t-tops or hard top
anyway don't want to steal the tread..nice car good luck with the sale

No need to be defensive. The car is clearly an original L98 car based on the VIN above. But, this can all easily be explained by what tpi-hearse noticed...the car has aftermarket t-tops. If this is the case, then it explains how a t-top '91 GTA has the L98...the t-tops are not from the factory.
In either case, for the price you are asking and for what the car is, I think it is a good deal and I hope you sell it quickly.

lol I understand, and apologize for getting defensive. but how is it that the car has aftermarket t-tops? i didnt really know that was possible..and the price im asking is fair, right?

In my opinion, the neighborhood of $3,000 for a solid '91-'92 GTA with the L98 is a good price, yes.
I'll let tpi-hearse speak up, since I can't tell how he determined from the pics that the t-tops are aftermarket. He knows his thirdgens, though. Do your tops say anything on them? Any brand name anywhere?
Basically, there was at least one company during the thirdgen era that took non-t-top cars and customized them with aftermarket t-tops. Kind of like how in the '70s you could get aftermarket sunroofs installed in cars that did not have them from the factory.

hmmm...that's interesting. i haven't really looked at them that much in depth. i didnt even know u could do that. but i take it it does nothing for the value though, right?
If you look at where the ttop meets the front of the roof look at the amount of body between the roof and windshield it looks outta porportion, now pic another ttop ta and look at the gap maybe someone could post a pic of there ttop thirdgen and show you
You can tell the difference in the tops by looking at the distance between the windshield and the front of the top.The aftermarket tops are a little smaller than factory tops.
Good luck w/ the sale

I am not trying to be a bad guy but it is impossible to differentiate between a Trans Am or GTA solely by the vin#. GTA was an option for the Trans Ams model, it was not a separate model. Also, I am not entirely sure that green was a valid color for a GTA with the L98.
L98 GTAs in 1991 were only in a very limited number of colors. I know this because I wanted to order a GTA in 1991 from the dealership and there was only a few colors available. If I wanted other colors, I would have to get just a Trans Am (which still could get the L98).
Can you please give all the RPO codes from the SPID sticker on the rear glove box?
There is nothing wrong if your car is actually just a Trans Am as Trans Am with L98s are kind of rare, and I would be more interested in that.
