| 91 Firebird in Sacramento (Parts Car) I was rear ended in my 'bird about 3 months ago and the insurance company labeled it as a total loss. I've still got the car and it still runs/drives but the back-end is pretty messed up (more messed up than I care to fix). The exhaust hanger is more or less gone, and the right rear suspension makes a godawful clanking noise whenever it's bounced.
Fuel tank still holds gas and it's full with 91 octane. The left side came out more or less unscathed, but the right side has a big dent (from the flexing of the metal) above the right rear wheel. Amazingly, though, the hatch and glass survived the impact.
Steel driveshaft is still straight.
Brakes are good, Clutch is decent, Motor's strong but it has a small intake leak that sucks some oil up out of the valley so it needs new intake gaskets. I wouldn't trust the rear bumper or the fuel tank, but it's entirely up to you. Otherwise, everything on the car's in order.
It's got a 350TBI with a ProJection Manifold and TB on it, so with the right chip it should be good for about 330HP. Motor has less than 15k miles on it. New cat (less than 3k miles) Pacesetter headers and cat-back, Terminator Muffler, T5 Tranny is a little worn (original trans) but it still works pretty well for having 135k miles on it. I can sell the engine and trans for $1k or all the rolling stock for $1500.
It also has Weld Racing Prostar rims with near new Cooper tires.
PM if interested.
I can also take a few pics if you want them.
Thanks for looking.
