Car: 1989 Trans Am GTA Engine: 5.7 Liter Transmission: 700R4 | 1989 Trans AM GTA, 44k miles, Black, T-tops, 5.7l/350, Automatic I am hesitantly selling my 1989 Trans am GTA after over 7 years of ownership. It is black with tan cloth interior, t-tops (with bag), 5.7 liter/350, automatic. The perfect model. It had 28,800 miles on it then and now has over 44k. These days I put about 1000 miles on her per year. It has been garaged it's entire life. I have been the only driver since ownership. I purchased this car in Mar '00 after my gunmetal grey '87 GTA was involved in an accident. I looked at hundreds of F-body Firebirds and it came down to two. A beautiful low-mile solar gold '79 Trans Am or my '89. Obviously I went with the latter. It had everthing I wanted, so I flew to Illinois to pick her up. It has never been down a drag strip, raced or beaten on. It seldom gets washed, only dusted with a california car duster. The interior looks like it's never been sat in. It is all original and numbers matching. The only modifications are: SLP exhaust, SLP air-foil, cold-air box with K&N, aluminum driveshaft, a 200 degree fan switch which lets it run at optimum temp, and the cat convertor was removed and replaced with a MAC "off-road" pipe, which makes the car sound mean and run better. I only use Mobil 1 extended life sythetic oil, or Castrol Syntec, with K&N premium oil filters. I use exclusively Amoco/BP premium unleaded fuel. The car is tinted all over except windshield. The side windows, the back window and t-tops are tinted. The car looks just mean and is quite a head-turner. It has the black cross-lace wheels instead of the gold ones which really sets it apart. The tires are Goodyear Eagle HP. The spare tire, jack etc., have never been touched. The dash has a covercraft dash mat to protect against UV. It is not driven in rain, or really hot days, and when I return it to the garage, the hood is lifted to let all the hot air out. I have 3 sets of floor mats, including the original GM ones that are stored. The only bad things are: the car was in an accident in 1990, I don't know anything else other than that, the buttons for the power lumbar ane not working, and the cassette deck pops tapes out if you try to play one. There is a "scuff/scrape" in the right side rear bumper. I have many rare NOS parts to go with the car including a NOS GM front nose GTA badge in the box. I got this right before they were discontinued. The only this the car needed cosmetically were door weatherstrip. I settled for nothing less than GM (expensive). Included with the car are many NOS parts, and tons of Firebird memorabilia, posters, books, hats, t-shirts, keychains, a curio cabnet with 1:18 scale diecast Trans Ams, and a couple RARE vintage 80's sealed Model kits, a huge lot of High Performance Pontiac magazines, a 1989 factory GM Firebird service manual (expensive), and much more. I have a binder with over $3000 in receipts, and a slew of GTA road tests, and tech data, and most inportantly, I have the all important PHS packet. I am asking $12,500 for the car. This is a fantastic deal, considering the value (especailly GTAs') these cars are climbing too each passing year, and all the extras this one comes with, not to mention the awesome condition this car is in and the care it received. I could write about this car all night. Serious inquiries only Please. Here is my contact info: email-hungwell89@yahoo.com. Home phone- 701-839-3235. Thank you.
Chris

It is my daily driver, and has 138k miles, and runs great. Huge package deal. Time is wasting and I will have to store the GTA soon... |

But I just bought a newer car and I only have a 1 car garage. I suppose as long as someone treats it the way I have and the money is there... It's a decision I'm sure I'd regret, but I just don't drive it enough anymore to warrant keeping it. |

| Re: 1989 Trans AM GTA, 44k miles, Black, T-tops, 5.7l/350, Automatic I have to say, if you still have it next fall I think I will buy it. I always have kept F-bodies in pure stock condition, like you do. I use only GM parts and used to wax weekly. out of all the cars I have seen on here, yours is the one I want. I just have to sell that &%^&VTY!!$%#$ house! Then I have a two car garage, and my wifes would stay in there and my daily driver would have to be outside during the winter if I get yours. It is a pain I would be willing to bear. even on Ohio |
