Thanks for the bump. Opinions are like...well...you know. It looks WAY orange on my monitor, where it really is almost a copper color. I don't care what color you paint it, if you buy it.
I'll try to get some interior and under hood pics soon. Right now I've pretty much parked it for a while. I've been driving the Firehawk on these last few nice days before winter sets in.
bump for a sweet ride..im thinking of doing a two tone like that on my trans am... how muchd that paint job run ya? if i had the cash id be all over this
THanks, guys!
I know the painter well. I got a deal on it.
The HOK Marblizer was not much more than any other standard paint...just labor of masking it off and having to spray another color on it.
Thanks for the offer, 85, but I think I'd better pass. Not that I wouldn't rip it up for a few months on the Honda...but I'd likely get killed, or at least divorced in the process.
I've still got this car sitting in the garage. Can't bring myself to give it away for the offers I got last fall.
Anybody got any interest in it this time around? Power steering pump noise is fixed, tires don't run at full lock anymore...otherwise it's as described plus a very few miles.
-It's not a show car, and has two or three paint flaws in it, but would make an awesome looking driver for someone.
-It needs a few nickle-and-dime things inside, like the scew covers on the armrests, repair the center console where the sides meet the top, etc, but I wouldn't hesistate to drive it while you work on it. That was my plan, I just ran out of time.
-When the second fan cuts on, it soundsl like it's rubbing on something, but I can't figure out what. It may need a new fan, maybe it's rubbing and something needs moved, I don't know.
-The pinion seal is leaking a little.
-I just replaced the left front wheel bearings last week.
-It's had a vibration in it at about 70 MPH since I bought it. I've replaced the driveshaft, rear end, and wheels (all with used parts) since I've had it, and the vibration is still there. It feels like it's in the back, so I assume I had a bent wheel/axle...and I assume I still do, even with the new (still used!) wheels. I don't know what it is, but it goes away above 78-ish MPH, so I just drive faster.
That's really all I can think of. It would make someone a great car if they had a little time to put into it. email me if you've got any questions.
Alright, I unearthed the car a few weeks ago, got it running and drove it for a week or so. I was running up the interstate yesterday, and the rear end started making noise in it. Once I got stopped, it was leaking profusely, and made all kinds of racket as I drove it onto the rollback to get it back to the garage.
I really don't have time to mess with it anymore. $150-200 and a few hours will have a new rear end installed, but I have too many other, more pressing projects at this point. It looks great, and only needs a little work to be a really nice car.
Somebody make me a reasonable offer, and take this car home.
I'm in Harrisonburg, right along I-81. I won't say "no" trades, but most likely no trades. I have too many cars and not enough room as it is. Thanks, though!
Thanks! If someone spent a little time and a little money on it it would make a really nice car. For me to drive daily, and be proud of it at a cruise-in I'd swap in a rear end, put in a headliner kit and dashpad. Otherwise it's pretty good, really.
C'mon guys, you couldn't get the paint and body work done for that. You're getting that done, azlong with the new seats, carpet, good tires and wheels, I just put a new MAF on it before the rear end puked... it's a good car in need of a new home. It's in the way.
