| 1991 Firebird in Deltona FL, $1,300; sleeper potential? I don't have any recent pics of this car, i'll try to get some soon. Until then, let me try to paint the picture. I cannot and will not part this car out, it needs to go all at once.
Car has 138K miles on it. 305 TBI, 700R4 auto, and 3.23 posi-drum (WS7) rear (not original, I still have the 2.73 peglegger) I changed out the rear awhile ago because I knew the car would accelerate a little better with a higher gear, but this WS7 rear came from an '87, so there's more time and wear on it. It whines a little, but doesn't slip.
Original engine still starts and runs like a top, maybe a little puff of exhaust smoke from time to time. Original tranny has never needed work, always shifted sure and solid. Now for the downside:
This car was medium-green metallic with the doeskin interior. It's all faded now from having been repainted with cheap paint and then daily-driven under the Florida sun for nearly eight years. Interior is clean but it's faded too. There was an accident awhile back, and now the car has a driver's fender and hood in the faded-maroon motif. Pass. side has some large scratches and a few dents from same accident, nothing irreperable. The headlights still work great, the taillights are very clean. The front bumper cover is in primer. There are no gfx, was never equipped from the factory with them. 15" 20-slot rims, original and in very nice shape with centercaps. The tires are totally shot and probably have just enough tread to get you to a tire shop. It has t-tops that won't leak unless you spray water up towards the top window edge.
Power windows and locks, cruise, delay wipers, all of which still work. New fuel pump last year, along with ceramic brakes. The A/C is all still there, needs a compressor though. Has an older Sony cassette deck with a 12-disc changer out back. I have some extra parts I can throw in to seal a deal, but I really need to get $1300 so i'm firm on that. Even with the accident, nothing ever was reported and the title is still clean. Send a pm if I didn't cover anything, and I will try asap to get pics. Thanks.
