FOR SALE! Check out the build sheet for options. I'm the original owner and have meticuously maintained this car for 16.5 years. Always garaged...recent repaint after spending several years in San Antonio TX. I have the replacement decal kit. 92K miles, car was mostly driven by my wife. Don't need to sell, but would rather see it go to an interested party, rather than continue to sit in my garage. Since repaint only driven for maintenance and inspections.
Have all the original docs, window sticker, plastic key, New owners CD, owners manual, build sheet and trim build sheet, brochure... Have original order paperwork from military sales Philippines. This car spent three years (94-97) in England and have the MOT inspections.
Motor/Trans never apart and no leaks. Never hit, no fender benders. No modifications. No excuses. Have replaced/restored those items you would expect to have been replaced in a 17 year old car.
No alibis, but here are the deviations from original car...
Refrigerant converted. Original power antenna replaced by fixed mast by Pontiac Dealer over a decade ago, replaced original rims/tires when repainted (don't have originals) and original AM/FM CD unit was replaced when original failed.
Asking $7K, but willing to talk within reason...can send more pictures (larger size) if interested. Please no tire kickers or picture collectors.
Thanks Real Slow..here are a few more pictures to keep the interest level up. This car has always been babied....Past few years while in storge, $2500 paint job, fuel pump replaced, new DELCO headlamp motors, tires/rims, muffler, tie rods, etc...plus you can't put a price on a one owner, always indoor, non-abused car that's pushing 17 years old. Probbaly have 5K just in recent upkeep....had I not accomplished any of this, still would have been clean 4-5K car....IMHO. Oh well.
Mmmm... that's an awesome car. It would be perfect to me with a manual but it sure has everything else. What kind of wheels are those? A pickup while in Europe?
Good luck with the sale. Be sure and tell the new owner to come here for support.

Cadillac-Thanks! Hope that the new owner will continue the careful preservation and if not from the TGO family will pass this community on...it's always been a wealth of information.
I've included a few more pics...regarding the wheels if I remember right I picked them up at TireRack already mounted/balanced about the time it was painted.
I'm with you and always prefer a manual and when I ordered the car really struggled with the 5.7 (auto) vs 5.0 (5 spd), but in the end went with the bigger motor. I was stationed in the Philippines at the time so I couldn't test drive the different combos.
Happy to answer anyone's questions or post different photos...just let me know. Cheers
Wish I could have seen it while you were still in San Antonio. That's a bit too far than i'm looking.
CharcoalBird-
I really miss San Antonio...especially this time of the year -- I could be golfing today! If you change your mind Southwest flies into Norfolk, and I'd be happy to pick you up at the airport. Anyway, thanks for looking...have a cold Shiner Bock for me! Cheers
Heh, quite alright. I'm looking for a Formula, but one that isn't quite as nice as that, much of it will be changed.
Off Topic, i've been here for a year and a half now and still havn't gone to any of the golf courses. I've only gone whenever I visit my family in florida. Could you recommend some good courses?

San Antonio and the hill country has some great courses...Much of my golfing was done on Military bases, but San Antonio has a great group of muni courses. If you live inside the city, believe you can get a city card for a small fee. Brackenridge and Cedar Creek were my favorites. One of the most unique courses I've ever played was the Quarry...the back nine is "sunken" and plays in an abandoned quarry. They're all good...
Good luck in your search!
Interested in any trades? I have a really nice 95 jeep grand cherokee limited loaded with only 87000 miles. White with tan leather. Very nice and mechanically sound with detailed maintenance log.
OK, my wife is probably going to kill me, but do you still have the Formula?
Danziger-
Still available...appaears you are close by, free to look. Would welcome your opinion!

Andy-
Thanks! In case you've sent me an e-mail lately...I've been gone for a couple days and have found my e-mail account has been lock/scrambled by COX...so FYI. Would love to see you get it -- special price for you!
Thanks for the posts and PMs. I believe I've answered them all. I've been away to Victoria BC on business since last week, so apologize for delay'd responses. Must be tax season...interest is rising.
For those that have attempted to reach me via my previously posted e-mail address schadegg@cox.net ... since my return from business I've found that my account has been locked for some reason. So if you are interested please PM me through this forum or just post and I'll get back to you. Apologies for those that may be trying to get ahold of me via e-mail...will answer when I can get COX to fix.

Yah. I am usually close by, but I'm currently on a "business trip" in Kuwait. My wife could make the purchase, tho...if she doesn't divorce me first!
I have a 2004 Z16, 2000 Z28, 2004 Z71, 2000 929RR and 1990 LeSabre, so adding another car is going to get me in trouble, but it will be worth it. I'll PM you and see if we can't set something up. Ben

Ben-
Stay safe over there...I've had many similar business trips to that area, most conducted at 25,000 feet, 360 knots and 5 hours at a time, but have also spent some time on the ground enjoying $3.50 per diem and local DFAC meals.
Would be happy to pull the car out of the hanger to let your wife a look and contnue to chat via the forum.
When you get back would be fun to get your Z16 next to my 2004 MY/Mod Red Z06 for a little romp down to NC and some BBQ/beverages...I'm sure we share some favorite roads in the area...such as over near Fentress.
Dang! Wish i had $7k! That's what I paid for my car! If i had it, i would add to my 3rd gen collection! Nice car! Good luck w/ the sale!
Erik-
Thanks for the comments! After owning 1970 Camaro SS350, 1971 Camaro SS396, and 1987 Camaro and 1988 Camaro....really struggled between the 1991 Firebird/Camaro decision. Back in the day, many of my friends had 400 Forms and 455 T/As when the cars could be had for a couple thou back in the 70s...so thought I'd try a Poncho this time.
However, you car looks great in your sig and I love the 91/92 Chevy styling....great choice. Of course if you decide you need a matched Chevy/Pontiac set give me a call...red Z/green Form...be the christmas collection.
Again, thanks for the post....I don't get many, so sometimes feel like the maytag repairman!
I'll see if I can arrange to take some under carriage shots tomorrow if the weather cooperates. Car history -- 1991 - 1992 California, 1992 - 1994 Texas, 1994 - 1997 Southern England, 1997 - 2000 Texas, 2000 - Present Virginia Beach so never any exposure to road salt. No leaks -- it's solid.
Thanks for the interest! Will get pics up soonest.
For those that require original documentation, this car has everything! Impossible to find most of this. Original documentation included with car is shown in attached thumbnails below. All of this is original -- not "reproduction".
- Complete Build Sheet Series 3 separate sheets -- don't know if it makes a difference but indicates "export".
-Overseas Military Sales Corporation (OMSC) order acceptance
-OMSC sales contract w/deposit slip
-United Kingdom Duty Free import documentation and 3 years worth of UK Ministry of Transportation (MOT) inspection certificates (94-97)
-Original Window Sticker
-2 1991 Brochures - Pontiac Model Line and Firebird Specific
-VIP pontiac plastic key and AAA plastic key
-Firebird owners CD
-"Lets Talk" service signals checklist for new car owners
-Pontiac survey note card
-Original owners manual w/roadside assistance card
-Warranty Booklet noting in-service date of 6/17/91 with 00003.x miles
-Customer VIP inspection procedure
-Customer VIP delivery procedure
-4 pages of USAA invoice pricing noting all posible 1991 firebird options/pricing
-original sales cards and GM owner folder from Clark AB P.I.
Sometime in the future this treasure trove of original owners documents will exponentially enhance cars value. Cheers.
Celebrating 2000+ views -- thanks to all who have looked!
Here are some pictures underbody pictures as requested. Driver's side rear wheel well -- note the rear quarter also, you could eat off that sheet metal. Virgin unhit metal all-around
This shot is from under the driver's side door. Small amount of scale as expected on a 17 year old car. Note how clean the trans pan is! Leaks -- never!
Undercar pics are boring ..
The whole fleet...Z06, ML350, G35, and Civic...someone help me downsize'
Back in it's hole, before cover goes back on
looking under the motor
Questions?
Full set of decals come with the car
another clean quarter...I think you get the idea. I didn't cherry pic and these photos were taken today.
Except for maintenance miles this car has been parked for 6 years. Modern day barn find. Prices are rising....late 70s Smokey cars in nice shape now in the 20s. 3rd gen cars are next to appreciate. This is the real deal!
Again thanks for the input...if there is something specific you'd like a photo of let me know. Will attempt to get a better underbody when next inspection is due...maybe next month or so.
wow beautifull car if i could dream of a thirdgen to have it would be this one. because i have a 305 tbi green car and i have always wanted the formula same color. good luck with the sale

Thanks Turbo! Always great to see another green bird out there! I had a 88 Camaro TBI 5 Speed that I loved...so they're great cars ans easy to mod! Don't give up on this one -- probably still be around in a couple of years. Thanks for looking and comment! Cheers
Just kidding about the goodwill thing...good to know there are plenty of adoptive parents out there is it comes to extreme measures. Al, Ben I'll reply back via e-mail, PM.
All interested parties answered via e-mail and PM...so if I missed someone or electrons didn't connect shoot me a PM or post here. Thanks for all the responses!
Mods please close and lock this thread -- car has been sold. Individual is a forum member, but I'll leave it it to him to chime in if he desires. Thanks for all the comments and views -- great forum. After 17 years of ownership, already miss it...but going to a great home!
