Up for sale is my 1989 Pontiac firebird Forumla. Its a 350 V8 5.7 Liter TPI (Tuned Port Injected). Posi rear. 145k miles. Recently added parts include; brand new radiator, fuel injectors, fuel pump, and filter. Car runs very very strong. Is currently insured and ready to run. Any prospective buyers are welcome to come by for a test drive. Cosmetically the car needs to be restored. Paint is faded and T-tops need to be replaced, though they do not leak. Car has no major dents. Mainly normal dings that come with time and that are to be expected from a car thats almost 20 years old. Car starts up quickly. Never stalls or sputters. Car idles pretty much perfectly. Like I said engine is running superbly. Car is in need of driverside rear shock. Springs are good. All lights, including headlamps, are fully functional. Car easily burns rubber. Has Ws6 suspension package. Original Leather bag for t-tops is in trunk. Interior is in pretty good shape overall. If I had to grade it right now. 6 or 7 out of 10. If you scrub the floor, then probally a 8. Only on minor rip in one of the rear seats. Interior is grey. Cars exterior is a dark maroon like red, though as I stated above, is very very aged and faded. Car has no real serious rust, just some surface rust that can easily be sanded away. Power steering, windows, rear view mirrors, and the flip up head lamps are fully functional. Car is stock with no modifications. Its a great great project car as far as body is concerened, though if you bought it today you'd be driving as soon as you did all your DMV and insurance stuff. Car starts and runs great. Does not have any overheating problems. AC and heater are fully functional. Car has original stereo. Transmission is great. I have never had or noticed a problem. Im pretty sure its the original stock transmission. I was gonna restore it myself. I always wanted a Bird 5.7 TPI, though my heart has always been set on a GTA. So Im gonna pursue that. Asking price is $2,400, though is not firm by any means and is more negotiable, especially in person. When the right amount of cash is in front of you money talks. So price is definately negotiable.
I appreciate the offer, but I cant do that. For starters I have no way of towing it, so I would have to drive it and waste a bunch of money in gas, tolls, etc. The car would have no trouble making it. Though Id rather you come and see it, that way I knew it was a defiante deal. As for the 2k, we would have to disscuss that in person. I was looking for a list a tiny bit more. Right now Im on the fence about selling the car. If you would have caught me two weeks ago, I would have been all for it. Im really considering getting her painted and keeping it at this point, though I welcome any offers. If you are close by, you are welcome to stop by and definately take a look. just gave the car an oil change a few days ago. Replaced and replaced the T-tops. I just bought new Spark plugs, Distributor car with rotor, and Plug wires. Also rear shocks and brakes. I havent had a chance to put them on though because its been so cold and now the snow that hit today. So like I said, I might just restore her, but money talks in person and you might get me to sell her. For the guy in Newburgh, you could stop by or I could meet you somewhere doesnt matter. Im by NFA. Like I said though, at this point its gonna take alot for me to get rid of her. You never know though, i just might.
