FS: 1986 Blue/Silver Trans Am....Many Mods Hackettstown, NJ
I picked up this car just over 2 years ago and now have a chance to move up (so to speak) the Automotive ladder.
This car is a 9.75 out of 10 (.25 is left for your own decision)
• Specs Image is from when I bought it. Added under 1K miles since I got it.
(Original color was Red/Silver, Repainted in Blue/Silver combo years ago...Repainted for by Mike's Auto Body in Washington, NJ in 2007)
• New Interior Carpet and Headliner installed 1 year ago.
• New Stereo installed this past summer (professional install).
• New tires installed last year, comes with extra rim/tire.
• Car cover included.
• Many extras as well.
Car is currently registered as Collector Car in NJ, limits it to under 2500 miles a year. Gets out for some exercise on weekends, had been in Washington and M&M Car shows (2007/2008)
I have lots of photos, info, car fax and so on.
Looking for Best, realistic offer (I have an idea but with the economy in the tank, will consider Best Offers around $10,000)
Let me know what you think. Located in Hackettstown, NJ.
Thanks for looking,
Edd

CORRECTION: Car is 1986, not 1985 (sorry for the confusion)

Re: FS: 1986 Blue/Silver Trans Am....Many Mods Hackettstown, NJ
I noticed on the underside of the hood there was still some red paint spray showing the original color, under the hood braces etc where the repaint didnt reach to cover up. Any other places on the car like that - weather stripping areas, door jambs, trunk areas, things like that?
Beautiful looking car from the outside, just curious how in depth they went when doing the color change at that shop since it appears that at least the underside of the hood they went over quickly with the paint gun...

Good observation. The car started life out as red but was changed to blue by the last owner...too many red T/As out there. The blue goes into quite depth on the door jams. I will post when I get a chance to snap a photo. The overall job is quite impressive...welcome inspections anytime! Edd

Here's two shots of the Interior. As you can see, Red is hidden either by kick panel (taken off in shot), Driver side left foot and on second photo, the door jams are done professionally as well. Hope this helps. Edd
Body is what has 274K........MUST READ......Engine has about 35K on it, Chevy 350, most if not all of the suspension has been replaced, modified for a better ride. New tires and sanded and polished rims as well. Body has no rust or dents! Well maintained over last few years.
Black Spoiler is Aero Wing style, not sure if plastic or fiberglass, it shines!
Car is a blast to drive, chips the wheels on command, and gets all the stares.
A true classic.
(Speakers, Amp, Radio, Rewired Pioneer Amp and Repaired front Grills in Dash Pad)
He did some work on the 2, Rockford Subs in the rear
$750 worth of hardware with labor alone.
No sure about the duals being aftermarket, never crawled up to see but can hear, loud and rumble clear! I did not install, came with the car when I bought it. It is 3-inch exhaust with Flowmaster 3-chamber muffler.
I have the PHS Documentation as well as all receipts since I have owned the car.
