i am selling my 89 formula firebird. this car is a wonderful car. its a great car for a new driver or for someone that wants a nice looking ride. your probably wondering why im selling her. well im trying to move on to something more new so i need the money to get it. i started to build this car as a show car. the paint is gm bright red and was painted a couple months ago and is perfect. i then added something that sets this one from the rest. i put a 1978 trans am bird hood decal on her. the motor was rebuilt by the previouse owner when it hit 100k and the trans was rebuild with shift kit at 115k. the car right now has 140k.
so whats has been done to it? lest starte with the motor:
i just replaced the plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotor. i then added the bomz air intake. she has a dual flowmaster 3 inch exhaust from the maifold back. she has had her oil changed every 3000 miles and had a rediator flush about 6 months ago and is about to have another one done. i did an injector cleaning a month ago, and this was no throw a bottle in the gas tank and hope it cleans the injectors. we put the cleaner directly into the fuelrail. i have put this car on a lift at work once a month to do checkups on the car and look it over from front to back. the engine is completely detailed at least one or more times a month since i took the car to shows.
now the interior:
this is what i have done the least work too. the seats could use some covers but the recline, forward, and back work perfectly, all the buttons and switches work perfectly the dash pad is in great condition. i replaced the speaker covers because they were falling apart on me. i also put in new rear speakers along with pioneer fronts. there is an after market cd player in the car that works great. i installed a used remote key entry system but the unlock went out on it so the truck button unlocks it now. this also comes with a remote start but i dont have that hooked up.
the exterior:
like i said above the car has a fresh paint job. she is the GM bright red with the 78 bird on the hood which just makes this car stand out. i put a set of crosslace wheels on her that were black with the polished lip. i still have the set that came with the car if you are inerested in those too. she also has the fourth gen (93-02) style spoiler wich gives her a nice sleek look. i replace the air dam on the bottom front of the car. i also repainted the wheel wells and the exhaust flat black.
there is a lot of time and effort put into this car. PM me a resonable offer for her and you could just walk away with her.
bump... i just put in a new battery and shes going to get an alignment this week. i need to get this off my hands as im getting married in 1 1/2 years and i need to get something less hotroddy (lol thats what the lady says, i couldnt come up with a better word)
