So, the unfortunate time has come....and I need to get rid of my beloved Trans Am.
I'm just over the West Hartford line, in Hartford. Also, this car was bought while I lived in Michigan, which has no emissions testing laws & therefore *has no emissions components*. This car WILL NOT pass CT state emissions testing! That being said, here is a quick run down of what she is:
1987 Trans Am
Sapphire Metallic Blue/Navy Blue
T-Tops
305 c.i 5.0L engine
Edlebrock intake manifold & carb
Automatic transmission
Power windows
Starts without any issues
Runs great
...this car was babied by me...
Recent works:
Polished tail lights
New front suspension work
New Sylvania SilverStar headlights(less than 200 miles)
ALL new tires (less than 800 miles)
Oil & oil filter change (less than 800 miles)
Rebuilt JASPER crate engine (installed 2004)
Never used anything less than 91 octane gas
Reverse glow gauges installed
However, there are a few downsides to consider:
-no CD/AM/FM stereo in the car(stolen)...however I have two used ones I can throw in...along with a 6 CD Changer.
-No battery in the car.
-No A/C condenser (old one seized up but is still there with all the hosing)
-Mild/Mildly-Moderate rust strip on the roof of her infront of the rear window.
-Dash pad has a crack in the middle from sunlight.
I'm currently asking $1,500.00 If you don't mind giving her a little TLC, then she's a great car for the money. If you're serious, then let me know(via PM) I'll post some pictures later on. Like I said, the only reason I'm selling her is b/c she won't pass CT state emissions. I'm also open to people with school connections(aka: high school or college auto shop classes) contacting me about donating her to a school.
