I have had this listed for better than 3 weeks now, car Kelley Blue books at 2280.00,plus all the changes I have made. I will reduce the price to 2480.00 as is, or the 2280.00 with me putting the firebird light back in it. This is a great deal with all the extras you are getting. This is my bottom dollar only because I must sell ASAP.
I have owned this car for 7 years and have added many original Pontiac options. Has not been a daily driver. Has 144,000 miles. 305 throttle body, 5spd, T-tops, ground effects. Now for what I have added: functional cowl induction hood and air cleaner, Trans-AM rear wing, Trans-Am taillights, replaced plastic t-tops with earlier tempered glass style, factory Pontiac CD player from 1996 Grand Prix, cloth seats from 1994 Trans Am, I haven't installed rear seats yet but you get them. Added some monster front and rear sway bars from 1989 GTA, suspension "wonder bar" from IROC Camaro, factory 16"Formula wheels, new tires with less than 1000 miles. You get GTA quick ratio steering box that I have not installed yet.
I paid 3700 for the car in 2002, I have had fun working on it these past 7 years, easily spending another 1500 with the upgrades. You need to understand and appreciate all that has been done. This will make a great car for an enthusiast for fun or show. You are getting a great deal at this price, I have fell on tough times and realize that realistically even with all I have put into it I wont get it all back.
I will only negotiate from this price by keeping items I can sell on ebay. I will take 200.00 off if I keep my Trans Am taillights and reinstall stock ones. I will take 300.00 off if you provide your own wheels and tires at the time of the sale and I keep mine. Well worth it for you to leave it all together at 2800.00.
This is a Firebird, not a Trans Am, but has many T/A options and able to insure at Firebird rates.
Car is in North Central Iowa, Nora Springs.
Pictures of car in my profile.

Pics are there, check right hand side of profile page for album section - 9 pics I think. Clean looking car, especially for this part of the country. Do you have the solenoid for the scoop functioning as it would have from the factory, opening and closing at appropriate times?
Can I get some feedback, What is this car worth? Did I throw money away, putting money into it the past 7 years? Should I just part it out?....Are these cars worth more dead than a live....seems that way!
No, it doesn't have some of the TA pieces yours does, but it is clean. By clean, I mean it was washed before the pics were taken. There is no snow in the back ground to make people think of rust. You may not have daily driven it, but that doesn't mean previous owner(s) didn't daily drive it.
On that note, if it isn't a daily driver, why is drivers side carpet look like something is growing on it? Goes back to the 'clean' pictures. The interior looks horrible. Install the matching rear seats, put the seatbelts back in the guides, vacuum it at least, take the mardi gras beads off the rearview and then take some pics of it. Without snow in the back ground!
You have done some tasteful mods, but the pics aren't going to get you that price unless you put some effort into the presentation of it.
More feedback on your price. You will NOT sell that car here at that price merely because it is a base model Firebird with 144,000miles. It is a nice looking car with good options you added but that was just for YOUR project. If it were original to the car and it being a real T/A then you'd more than likely get your asking price and some.

What he said.
I'm actually in the market atm for a third gen and yours caught my eye on CL - I see now your listing it for 2480.
I really like your car, primarily because being a TBI 5speed with T-Tops. I'm in Iowa as well.
If you have anymore leniency on your price I may be interested. While I would ask for the old tail lights as I prefer them - still 2200 for a base firebird is up there.
IMO the miles on the car is the reason why you won't get that price. A trans am will fetch ya more and 2800 is a decent price for a looked after bird, that being said just too many miles.
2280 is book value without TA tail lights......I am giving all else away with it. If it dont sell, I am fine with that, I kinda like it, or I wouldn't have put all in it. Need the money, but no worse than 2280.00.

I'd like to come see the car.
About how far is Nora Springs from Burlington?
I couldn't get Mapquest to give me results for some reason.
Would like to drive less than 4 hours as I'm trying to keep my Mustang below 100k before I sell it
I am 2 hr drive northwest of Cedar Rapids......does that help? Nora Springs is 10 miles east of Mason City. email me at sandydog969@yahoo for my phone number
