Car: 1985 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6
Location: just south of Springfield, Illinois
email: mcwolf@warpnet.net
Up for sale is my 1985 Trans Am. It is the first year for fuel injection on a trans am, it is the LB9 engine with WS6 suspension ( all factory ), 305 auto, completely rust-free forever, and it is almost ready to turn 87,000 miles. In excellent shape all over. On the build sheet, the original owner checked the 'body color keyed' side skirts option, so they are not grey, like my previous 85, they are body-colored as a factory option. Car does not have any t-tops, which is why I bought it as I hate those things. If you would prefer a car with weakened structural integrity up top, might want to stop reading right now and save some time, no t-tops.
This car also has the factory hood bird. The small bird on the drivers' side B-piller is gone, but the pass side has it. Not sure what happened the little bird on the drivers' side, has not been there since I have owned the car.
Car is stock. No go-fast parts or anything like that. Some new parts I have put on recently have been front brakes, brand new tires all around ( Sumitomos I think ), AC was converted and blows ice cold. Car has no rust, never has had any. Oh, it has a new brake reservoir, the original one had a small split in it so I had to replace it, it had a slow leak. I have the original window sticker and build sheet for it. It has a locking gas door (factory, on build sheet), some other options, including the WS6 package with the Fuel Injected engine. All of the dome light / map light / misc things no the car work fine, except the radio, after it warms up it station hunts sometimes.
Interior is very nice, I'll put some pics up and take some of the interior later today. Wheels are stock 85 potato mashers, in nice shape. Car is unmolested and very dependable.
Only things wrong with it are the radio that station hunts after a while, and the b-pillar bird on the driver-side pillar is not there. Car tracks straight, runs smooth. Transmission is flawless.
The hood struts and hatch struts are original and work just fine and hold up what they are supposed to, no dropping on your hand for no reason. Doors don't sag, power windows and locks work just fine.
Feel free to email about the vehicle, I know i'm forgetting quite a bit about it. I am open to people coming to look at it, just email me and i'll get my phone number to any interested parties. Asking 6400, I have the title at my home, no lien of any kind. Thank you for looking.
