Car: 1985 Pontiac Firebird Engine: LG4 305 (originally 2.8L V6) Transmission: 700R4 Axle/Gears: 10 bolt 3:43 Open Diff. | 1985 Firebird (Carb'd 305, 700R4 Auto, Lots of extras!)
So I've got a 1985 Pontiac Firebird, originally a 2.8 V6 swapped to a `87 roller engine with carb'd 305, LG4 with a 700R4 Tranny. I bought the car last May and I've put less than 1,000 miles on it since. I drove it about 125 miles to my house and that was the majority of the mileage. I'm the third owner as far as the carfax shows. The car actually has under 90K on the odometer and is correct but the spedometer reads faster than actual speed so the odometer runs faster too. It's about 10-15 mph fast. The car does need a new headliner as there is none right now. Manual locks and windows, no T-tops.
I've got 2 extra quadrajets on top of the one in the car and an extra stock intake, heater core, radiator, headlight motors, and an extra set of steel wheels. I also have a set of hooker headers, 3" y-pipe going back to a gutted 3" cat and 3" single pipe into a Flowmaster exhaust with dual 3" outlet and chrome tips, all used but in good shape from North Carolina car. Brand new water pump is also available.
I timed it and did an oil change a few weeks ago along with new fuel pump, lines and carb swap but the car does needs what I'm guessing is a carb adjustment to be driven as it runs fine in idle but is slow in gear. I replaced the plugs a few months ago with Boch Platinum +2 plugs. I also have new wires in the box and an extra used cap an coil.
The car probably shouldn't be driven due to adjustments that need to be made. The car has a very clean underbody and should probably have the brakes replaced but did pass inspection last year.
$2500 B/O for everything I have here. I am looking for a C4 Corvette so could possible put this towards a trade for one. | | |
