I need this car out of my driveway: 1986 Trans Am 17X,000 miles. HAS NOT RUN IN 3 YEARS. Full car for sale. I will not part it out. Its an auto, LG4 305 carb V8. Numbers matching, stock motor, tranny, and 2.73 open rear. It has discs in the front and drums in the back. The car is white with decent, gray interior. There is a tear in the usual spot on the driver seat and a few on top of the back seats. Carpets are excellent. The dash is cracked on top from hitting a bump while driving in -15 degree weather. The car has a new front bumper that I put on because the old one was cracked when I bought it. Its flat black. It has two flats right now. The car has been covered for all but the last six months. It has a spot of rust above the driver side rear tire. The driver door hangs down and sounds like the hinge is rusted.
The motor has an edelbrock open element air cleaner, comp cams L69 sized cam (intake and exhaust are the same but it has smaller lobes than the GM cam), 3 angle valve job and mild head porting/cleaning. Exhaust is edelbrock TES headers and y-pipe and dynomax catback. All these mods were done 10,000 miles ago. New cap, rotor, wires and plugs replaced 5,000 miles ago. Car also comes with still in the box KYB Gas-a-just shocks and struts and brand new front LCA bushings. $300 in parts right there.
Thats about it. The car ran 16.4 at 82mph when I ran it with motor mods and headers/y-pipe. Better gears in the back and a stall would put this easily in the 15s because it pulls hard after 3k rpms with the cam. 2.73s keep it way out of range. 1st gear is 0-50mph. 2nd gear is 50-85mph and thats where the speedo ends. Would be a great parts car or easily a daily driver. I'm looking for a manual LT1 or LS1 or I would fix this myself. The battery and starter went while I was at college. I installed everything myself and drove it for 10,000 miles with no problems.
Looking for $800. Cell is the best way to get me. 908-872-2433. Located in central NJ, Somerset County. I'm at work 6-4 mon-sat but leave me a message. Thanks
~Matt

So much for a quick sell. $500. This is a complete car, just hasn't run in a while. Wish I had time to part it out because you could easily get triple that in parts. Need it gone.
Yes it is still available. Still trying to borrow a digital camera for pics. Sorry guys. I'm free Wednesdays between 5pm and 8pm and Sundays 4pm to 7pm if you want to stop by. The car needs a starter and battery to run but it has been a while. It will need to be towed because it has two flats. 908-872-2433
