its like buying a bike that has no title, no keys/hotwired ignition, and no fork locks
if it isnt stolen someone just succeded in an epic fail kinda way.
i would be VERY VERY WARY of this, get that vin and run that before and transaction, i say this as i bought a hot bike, dropped like 4k into and when i register it come to find out its stolen. bike is seized and im out like 5k and the owner that it was stolen from had some **** bike turned into an awesome custom chopper for free, im working with my families lawyer as to what i can do but jesus be careful guys.
edit:
i had no idea the bike was hot, and it came with a phony title. the title was for a almost identical bike but with a different vin which i of course was to lazy to check...........stupid stupid me.
I agree 100% be very careful with this car I just bought a set of black rallys off craigslist and found it so I take no responsibility if you get screwed
I appreciate your concerns, which are quite valid. The first thing we asked for was the VIN, and it checks out fine.
The steering column is not missing, they just tried to change the ignition lock cylinder and made a huge mess of it. The car has been sitting in the same spot for over 2 years, on 3 flat tires.
I'll be picking it up next week some time... and then parting it out.
