Up for trade is my 1989 Firebird Formula. Car is Automatic. It has the 350 5.7 liter Tuned Port Injection V8. Original Engine and Miles. Has almost 160k. Can't remember exact mileage. This was going to be my project car. Dont get me wrong though. The car runs and drives great and is my daily driver. The project part of it was mainly cosmetic and upgrades. I drive it daily to work every day with no problems whatsoever. I wanted to fully redo the car into a show car. I have had the car for about 3 years. First things first. I really hate to get rid of the car. It's "my baby". I live in a area that this car would suck in the winter and I can not afford to miss work. I recently moved out of my parents home and I need a vehicle thats good all year round. It is'nt too bad if you live in an area where there isnt many hills or mountains. I live by bear mountian now. I use to live in Newburgh and drove it the previous winter without a problem really because there wasnt big mountains or anything. If I still lived in a similar area I would keep it. Heres the story. I bought a SUV so that I could park this car and begin doing what I wanted. Cosmetic make over and upgrades and such. I bought the SUV (1998 Blazer) back in March, by July the transmission started to go forcing me to sell it and leaving me without a car so I had to put the Firebird back on the road in the meantime while I searched for a vehicle thats winter suitable where I now live. Unfortunately I ran into some unexpected bills forcing me to sell the money earned from the blazer now forcing me into my current situation. I really hate to get rid of her, but I have no choice, plus even if I did buy a SUV was able to keep her I no longer really have a place to store her for a long period of time. Thats the reason for anyone wondering why Im letting her go. There is absolute no fooling around hear. Car drives awesome. Plenty of power. Car is mechanically well and strong. Shifts fine and runs great. I drive it every day about 25 minutes back and forth on the highway to work everday. I have the clean title in hand. Car is black primer or some black spray paint maybe in the pictures as you can see, buts its red on the title. Red is its original color. You can see some red under the hood and such. I assure you theres no funny buissness there I garuntee it. Didnt get the title color changed because I was'nt sure what color I was going to paint it. Either red or black, couldnt decide. Just a couple of days ago I changed the oil, bought a new battery, new windshield wipers, New Water Pump, new Front Rotors, and put new front and rear brake pads. The car is four wheel disc brake. It has the special factory WS6 performance Suspension Package with the slightly deeper WS6 rims. Tires are fairly new. Interior is in decent shape. Front seats are great. No rips. Top of back seat has sun damage tear, which is very common in these cars. Posi rear. I have a set of Formula 350 decals that I was going to put on once the car was repainted that I will include. Since owning the car I have replaced several things which include; Headlights, Fuel Pump, Fuel Filter, Fuel Injectors, Alternator, Battery, Water Pump, Radiator, One Catylitic Converter, Brake Lines, T-Tops, etc... Im sure theres more I just cant remember everything. Car starts with no trouble everytime. Very dependable daily driver or great resto project. Im looking to trade for a SUV or truck preferably. I would rather have something with 4 or all wheel drive. I like Jeeps, Chevy trucks, Ford trucks, Nissan and Toyota suv and trucks. Things like that. Something great in the winter and relible. i dont want a car that isnt running or needs work to be running smooth. My car isnt the greatest cosmetically, buts its a champ as far as mechanically. As far as trading for a car, instead of a truck or SUV... I would have to see the car and it would have to be good in snow, like front wheel drive. I will entertain all offers, even things not listed if they are good in the snow, though dont get your hopes up because thats what Im really looking for. I really want a Truck or SUV. Something in running condition and reliable. Show me what you got and we can talk. If you are interested or would simply like more information you can email me at Dark_Farse@Yahoo.com or call me at 845 674 5061. The phone might be the best way to reach me. Thankyou.

If I owned a truck or SUV, or just had the cash on hand, I'd love to have that Firebird as my second Third Gen. It's beautiful.
Oh well, at least my post will work as a bump!
I know. I really wanted to keep her. have to make mature decision though here and do whats best and sometimes that isnt really what you want. Hopefully in a few years or whenever Im able I can get my dream car 89 GTA 5.7
I appreciate the compliment makes it harder to eventually say good bye. Just incase anyone was looking to the left side of this page and see's that I have two cars posted there. The TA is my dads and my car together. Father son thing. So dont think Im lying about not having a choice and having to only sell. TA isnt running otherwise Id ride that in meantime while I searched and just sell the Formula.
Yeah so off she must go. Please no cash offers. I cant afford to go car shopping. It needs to be a thing where I can just get everything switched over to a new car so I dont miss work. I cant stay wthout a ride.

forum rules say you MUST post a price. even though youre looking for a trade only, it gives a person whos willing to trade a ballpark range of what your looking to get. this way you dont get trade offers that are too high or low in comparison to your car

Sorry and thanks for the info. I read the rules, must have missed that though. I apologize. I guess if I were to put a price so that you knew what I was looking for ball park wise, I would say $2000 give or take. Im not looking for anything brand new here. Not looking to get over on anyone or looking for a one sided deal or anything of the sort. Trucks and suv's of all shapes and sizes are what Im mainly interested in getting as a trade. I would consider something of lesse value with some cash or other compensation on the side (a freaking xbox or something, just example lol). I'll entertain all offers though. Thanks alot and I appreciate this thread not being taken down, allowing me the chance to correct my error. Thankyou.
