This is a very nice, original Trans Am. It is about 95% stock. Its a 305 automatic with 3.73 open rear end. Its loaded, PW, PL AC, Cruise, Tilt, Rear defrost, and T-Tops. The car is solid, with a newer paint job. As it sits its a ten footer. The interior is nice as well, with newer seats installed. The interior is stock with the exception of a CD player. The car was driven performance project.
Many new parts:
New Firestone FireHawks
New Exhaust
Pads/rotors in the front
Shocks and struts
Centerlink and idler arm
Freshly rebuilt Carb- a non-computer controlled Q-jet, original carb included
Rebuilt Distributor, again non-CC, original distributor included
Fresh plugs/wires
Fresh oil change
New exhaust manifold gaskets
It does need a few odds and ends. It leaks power steering fluid as fast as you can pour it in. I'm fairly certain its leaking from the pump itself, I have a couple extra pumps, so I'll probably fix it if the weather gets a bit warmer.
I am selling the car simply because I don't like it. I aquired it in may in a trade and I tinkered with through out the summer and got it running. It had sat since 02 so it needed some work before it was road worthy. I drove it for a couple weeks and I just didn't like it. This has the potential to be valueable in the future. The majority of these cars were subject horrible abuse, multiple engine swaps and beat severly. this car is a survivor, I do not think there are many cars left in this condition. Its nice because nothing was hacked up. the only non-orignal parts are the carb and distributor. I swapped out the computer controlled stuff for comparable mechanical parts. The computer system is very primative and difficult to fix. I didn't cut or break anything, the original parts could go right back on easily, and are included in the sale.
the car blue books at 6000 average value. I'm asking 3500 and this car is way above average. . The car is located in the city of erie, with a clean PA title. I just want it gone. I have no space for it. Thanks Joe
still for sale. a later model 350 has been swapped in, and the power steering leak has been fixed. original motor goes with car. price reduced to 2800 bucks. Thanks
