| 1989 Burgandy 5.7 GTA **CHEAP** Nice interior for the year. Seats are good. Dash is great (no cracks)
Has steering wheel controls for radio but no radio.
350 TPI engine runs but has stutter. Has sit for 11 years in a car-port.I believe the miss is an injector.
Trans is bad... No drive or OD (the actual reason it was parked) Ran great when parked according to the guy I bought it from.
Body is straight and in good shape except rear spoiler (cracking, peeling), front PS fender (dent, primer) PS headlight is red and the previous owner put a red formula hood on it.
Definitely a project car but a lot of nice parts in it. No real rust IMO.

With that said, anyone interested should ask him to provide more detailed shots of the car before going to look at it. I didn't end up buying it. |

It will definitely be restored at the same time I restore my other '89 GTA. Now I have a hardtop and a t-top both with the factory 350. This car has a bad trans (slips in and out of third) and since it sat for 11 years the fuel system needs to be overhauled. It does start right up and has the typical bad gas smell and leaking injectors. I will be pulling the intake manifold and TPI off this week to go thru it. The trans willed be pulled and rebuilt at the same time. The brakes are not working that great, again it has been sitting for 11 years. The drivers side fender is toast, hood is off a '87 formula, and both headlight motors are toast. All other power options work including the lumbar. The rims are in great shape with dry rotted tires. All in all, a very nice numbers matching GTA for a grand. My IROCZ is going to the paint shop in less than a month so now it's time for me to get busy on both of my GTAs. |
