89 GTA 45,000 miles(with pics added)
!!! SOLD !!!
Time to sell my GTA. Had to close a business and have some left over bills to pay. Darn economy! I bought the car a year ago from a friend of mine who bought it out of Houston in 08 with 36,000 miles (all stock). He wanted to do the usual boltons that we'd do back in the day (cold air, Hypertech chip, pulley, smog delete, SLP intake,( also have stock parts) Mac headers, 3inch mid pipe, (no cat) and Flowmaster muffler). He wanted 3.70 gears but unfortunately the mechanic he hired was an idiot. The gears were set up wrong and the car sat up for 2yrs in his garage.Thats when I bought it. I had new 3.70s professionally installed, the hatch pull down motor rebuilt, headlight motors rebuilt. The paint on the top surfaces of the car was fading so I had it resprayed and a Hawks rear spoiler to replace the cracked factory one. The car has 50-60% of its original paint and the blend is excellent . I'm not saying the car is 100 point concours but a strong survivor. The GTA is gun metal grey, grey cloth (spotless interior), 5.7, 700R4, 9 bolt, WS6. I drove the car on Power Tour this past summer with my buddy in his 91 Syclone. GOOD TIME! The car ran flawless. Everything works. EVERYTHING. Exterior, interior, under hood, underneath is very clean. Great show car or driver. I'm asking $11,500. If anyone has any questions or needs any pics feel free to ask. Thanks to ThirdGen for the help and info!!

It has the 120 speedo and is a 350. You Pontiac guys help me out. A Camaro with a 350 got a 140 speedo. Did Pontiac third gens with a 350 get a 140 speedo and the 305 cars get a 120 speedo? Gorgeus car and in my back yard.

What's up neighbor! I'm in El Dorado, a little farther away than Hot Springs. Yea the speedo is 120mph but looks like it has good wrap around potential ! LOL Camden is kinda half way, holla and we mite meet there, check out cars and swap some car stories. Got a buddy here that has a sweet ThirdGen Comaro vert , he'd Prob ride up as well.

What I can say, however, is that both of my cars have 140mph speedometers... My '87 TA is a 5.0L TPI and my '89 GTA is a 5.7L TPI...

A black GTA is extremely hard to beat but so are the other colors. A 90 iroc vert is on my list but a GTA has been on my list for years. The gray cars on both sides of the fence were probably the classiest looking color they offered. I have to get a GTA before I kroak. Hell, I even put GTA lumbar seats in my 92 25th vert. A turbo GTA would also be extremely high on my list. That gray car is in my backyard and is gorgeus. Never owned a hardtop either.

Well have spent the holidays doin some research. Talked to the original owner (who owned the car for 15 or so years) and the owner my buddy bought the car from in 08. Both said the best they remember it came with the 120 speedo. Plus I checked the paperwork that came in the car (extended warranty paper and inspection passes over the years) and everything adds up. So I guess it's just an oddity. Still need to sell the car so if anyone would like more pics I can send them. Also open to offers! Thanks

If I'm not tripping I think they only make 500 89 GTA on Gun Metal. BTW Very Nice Car.
