Im looking for a 1987-1989 TransAm GTA, must be Flame Red in color (burgandy, maroon) tan interior, must have T-tops, analog dash (no digital), Im located in Waukesha WI but I am willing to travel for the right car, I have cash in hand, let me know what you have, smkngta@aol.com
i might possibly be selling my 1987 trans am roller that is set up for a ls1. It is an absolute beautiful car and can come with th400 trans and 9" as well as the wheels or can come without all. Here are a couple pics...
with old ls1 in it..
Right now car sits with tci built th400 with trans brake reverse manual and 5500 stall.
Moser 9" with 4.11's and 35 spline axles,
chromoly lca's and panhard bar.
S+W subframes connectors and mounted torque arm
Drive shaft loop
Chromoly forged 4130 d.s. for th400 and 9"
s+w 10 point cage not installed
quarter stick shifter
New kirkey drag seats mounted. 18" driver 17" pass.
Prostars with 28x11.50 et streets and also have new 275/60/15 et radials as well.
255 walbro intank pump
linelock
probably much more

very nice looking car, where is the ls1 that was in the car? how much are you asking for it? But, I have to tell you that I am really looking for a car that is near stock but I will consider all options. What color and material is the interior?
Yea that one is very nice, Ive seen it on autotrader.com. But its a hard top and a little to far away, Ive never seen a gta with that spoiler thing on the rear window though, its something different I guess.
i have an 1989 gta red in color. tan leather interior, 140 dash. everything you want. its pretty warn tho and needs resto. it has 135k original miles and still runs strong, everything on it is stock. complete car tho cept radio. im asking $2500 moto_0107.jpg

Nice looking car, Im really looking for a GTA but I have considered a formula in the same color, but I think you are too far away, you are in Virginia right? How much are you looking to get for it?

Yeah, I geuss you could say I'm picky. I just wont settle for anything less then exactly what my old GTA was as far as color combo and options, I dont mind doing some work to make it in the condition I want but it must have the factory options and colors.
If I may make a suggestion or two regarding your auto searches for "exact" matches. GTA`s arent the easiest car to come by, hence matching prolly anything but a high production 5.0 TBI car will take along time. Interior and exterior colors can be changed very inexpensively when compared to buying a $10,000 used car. Think $500 paint job, and a Year-One catalog for a nice change-of-color project.
I do feel your pain, my first was a near perfect white 89 Formula t-top with the cool red and black low striping. They can be found occasionally but are around $7k dollars in decent shape under 100k miles.

1986 PONTIAC TRANS-AM
59k original miles, currently PA Classic Title, all original, no aftermarket add-ons, original exhaust (needs replacement), 305 CI with tune port injection, 4 speed automatic, 4 wheel disk brakes, fully loaded, T- tops with storage cover, fairly new tires, garage kept w/cover, current PA inspection, never used as daily driver, white with grey interior, woman owned. This car was and still only used on nice weather days, car shows and cruise nights. Asking $7,500 OBO.

prickly- I thought about rebuilding a 305 car into what I want but that would end up being more work and more time to find the parts and to change the color the right way would be quite a bit more then 500 to paint the interiors metal/body and engine bay, plus I would rather have a car that has the original options and colors, I am still tossing around that option though. 71gs3504sp- Thanks but 7500 is more then I would want to spend on a car that isnt exactly what Im lookin for, good look with your friends sale though, it sounds like a nice car.
Try this to aid in your search. It will let you search ALL craigs lists across the country for just what you want. seem them all the time... Not in black darn it

Your old GTA is sitting safe and sound in my storage facility in TX. She likes the warmer weather. Guess you decided you couldn't live without her huh?
