1989 and 1988 Trans Am GTA

Hi, i dont know if im posting this in the right section, anyways one of my co workers has an 89 and a 88 GTA for sale ones an automatic and ones a manual. the interiors are in pretty rough shape but the engines and transmissions are both good in them, also the clear coat is pealing on both but the bodies are straight, getting to the point... he wants to sell me both for only 2500 dollars, would i be stupid not to buy these? or is there anything else i should look out for.

yes there both TPI and both have rear disc's but i dont know how solid the underbody is, he told me theres no rush on the money, and yes one is a 305 stick and the other is a 350 auto. i think only one is t top and both bodies are in good shape (no dents or dings) but the clear is peeling.

Re: 1989 and 1988 Trans Am GTA

check the underbody!! Even if you brake the down for parts its worth it.. 5speed/$500;tpi wharness/$300-350each;;disk brake rears/$100-250each;;gta wheels/$200-400;;tailights with center/$100-150....and thats just the bigger parts then you also have the interior and body parts...so even just for parts I think its well worth it..try and get them alittle cheaper, but know that it is worth it..
