Iowa Trade Nice Cadillac for Firebird/Camaro V8 - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards

I'm posting this for my friend as he's really been wanting to get into a third gen for a long time.

He has a Dark green 1994 Cadillac Deville - runs like brand new, engine and transmission each in excellent shape.

Has 168,000 miles but runs like a dream and drives like a dream. Drives great, smooth ride as ever - it has never once left him stranded. We always joke about how many cars I've gone through while he has had the cadillac.

It has the 4.9L - not the northstar. Downside is its not quite as powerful as the northstar. On the + side the 4.9L is known to be more reliable and not prone to the common headgasket issues associated with the northstar motors (although they're still great motors imo)

Only issues it has: ABS light is on but brakes work fine. Driverside window does work but not exceptionally well.

I really can't stress how nice the car is for being a 94 and having the miles on it that it does. I've been wanting to sell my DD to buy it from him - I love driving it, rides smooth as it did from the factory. No rust in anyway whatsoever.

It has a few cosmetic blemishes but nothing that stand out - just a couple scratches or so as expected with a car its age. Interior is all near immaculate - does have some red spots on one of the rear seat belts and iirc on the cloth near the door speaker - no its not blood, just some red paint from a container with a crappy lid once :-/

No rips in the leather or anything, dash is all in great shape.

Has all new tires, new exhaust, alignment, fresh oil change - oil always changed every 3k.

It is loaded as is expected
Full leather interior
digital dash
power windows
power locks
ac/heat
keyless entry
power seats for both driver/passenger
power trunk release
defrost
full climate control
cruise control
probably am missing something.

Also has like, 10 cigarret lighters lol - car has never been smoked in but its always been a joke about how many damn cigarret lighters the caddy has.

All in all again it's an amazing car. For the price you really cant get a more reliable long-term lasting car.

It'll probably in the long-term be a bad choice to trade it for a third gen but my buddy is just really ready to get into one.

What he wants to trade for:

Any 82-92 third gen camaro/firebird with a V8. Must be running/driving and need no major mechanical repair. Not looking to do a trade + cash unless its you doing the trade+cash.

Ideally looking for a manual with T-Tops.

Anywith with a 5speed / T-Tops = big +
Anything with a 350 ++ as well

Willing to look at anything.
Again the car must be able to be daily driven. Must at least have heat and such.

Also must be within 2-3 hours of Burlington, IA
May be willing to go as far as chicago for the right deal.
