Keep in mind that this price isn't with shipping included either! If I had the molds I could go buy fiberglass sheeting and resin and make it for less than fifty bucks!

No offense, cause hawks always seems to have high quality, but their prices always seem a little high. I know it's a buisness but that seems a little rediculous considering all the people saying they are interested. Even if total cost on his part is $150 at $275 he's still looking at $125 profit each. If you had 20 people at that price, he'd be looking at $2500 profit!
whats wrong with a guy making money to produce something. How long do you think it would take a guy to make 20 spoilers? Have you ever worked with fiberglass? Can you make one for cheaper. All those things considered, the price sounds fair to me. Thats my .02$ as I dont want one and only came across this thread because someone sent me a msg regarding it.

Re: hawks 5" spoiler??

Update and alittle tidbit for fun.

First off, the update. I believe that i have found a spoiler that can be temporarily donated for the project (thank you for finding him for me btw Rich!). After they get the donors, they supposed roughly a month. So of course im thinking we can give them 2 . But of course, that time starts running once they get the spoiler and nothing is set in stone yet.

and now, for your little tidbit, copy and pasted from the horses mouth if you will: "We are thinking of going with a 3rd led brake light recessed in the wing. This way it will come with a light for those who do not have a factory one. We will do the best we can on the price."

things are moving right along! Im very happy!

Sweet, cant wait. I assume they plan on making ones without the third brake light correct? And probably a little to soon to ask, but do they plan on including the changes suggested?

Re: hawks 5" spoiler??

Yeah I was really hoping this would happen. I put off getting my Iroc painted in hopes of getting a better designed and affoardable 5" spoiler. Oh well maybe we'll find another company thats interested.

LMSkyliner I sent you a pm.

EDIT: Hang in there, I should have an update in a few days with hopefully some good news.

Re: hawks 5" spoiler??

has anyone moddified one of hawks to have a 3rd brake light? I'm thinking it wouldn't be too hard to get some L.E.D's in their( like how they did it on tucks on the powerblock when they mounted a 3rd brake light in the tailgate which was fiberglass) so if anyone has let me know please

Try a search. I believe years ago a member by the name of Willie did it with an LED bar.
