I'm hanging on because I don't particularly need them as of yet. I'm finishing up month 4 of my front suspension/engine/tranny teardown and rebuild. IF, scratch that, WHEN i'm still waiting for the runners and the car's ready to go i'll just throw on the stockers until the ASSM's get here.

Does anyone think that AS&M will discontinue making these intake runners once the GP is done. Just something I've been wondering seeing as they've taken over seven months so far to build only a handful of runners.

Well I gave AS&M a call just to inquire about the avaiability of their runners. They told me it would be 6 weeks brfore they could get to it. Just food for thought.

Not necessarily. They just spouted off 6 weeks as a number to a guy who they don't know if/if not they're in the GP. Could go either way.

I wonder how my engine will like be strangled by my stockers......

i just called for the hell of it. i was curious as to what they would say. since ive dropped out of this GP i cant believe its still going.

ive called all possible places to get theses runners and they all go through as&m for them. a few have said they have them on them shelf but that probably just what there saying.

i was acutally thinking of asking them about a GP to see what they'd say.

Update from TPIS:
2 sets got done last week and shipped out Friday...
Though not mine... Mine is supposed to be done next week...
We'll see & update...

Also, they asked my dealer to tell me to stop calling... I call 2 or 3 times a week to inquire, 1 minute call each time and that's "over bearing"...
They shouldn't of lied about "yes, we have them in stock", "uh, we'll get them next week" for 6 weeks in a row... They should bitch at the company they pay to make them thats holding them up, not the customers paying their salaries.

I'll update next week if I get mine... I spent about $1000 there with the TPIS base, AFPR and LTR's... not another cent in the future.

We spoke to Ben @ ASM today. He said he will have the two sets ready to ship up to Canada tomorrow. Of course he has said this before so we will not know for sure until we get the tracking #. He also said he believes he has a guy there that can make the rest of them but once again, we have heard that before.

Once we get a tracking #, we'll let everyone know.

anyone want to "LEND" a pair of runners out? I know a guy would would love to take our $ and fab some runners of if he thinks the interest is there.

Im local to him and go over his shop a few times a week.
If anybody can fab em up Doug would be the guy.

Or even a Tube I.D. and length thru the center line would help.

I can’t believe it’s taking this long. I was one of the first people to place my order with FT, and I’ll probably be the last to receive them. Sure only 6 left, but at ASM rate that’s about 6 months. By then it will be winter again. Oh well, still sucks waiting though.

Why weren't the runners sent in the order in which the orders were placed? Seems like everybody in canada is getting taken care of .... less slow. Just so frustrated with this whole ordeal I can hardly believe it.

It must be because I am getting the 85-88 runners.

Id been in for this if they were done the same way and finished in a timely manner.

I talked to Doug yesterday and he is deff. interested in doing something with this.

Well see how it pans out if I can find a pair to use for ref. sizes etc.

The two runners sets for Canada arrived today and will ship out tomorrow. Also, another U.S order shipped today and that lucky person was emailed the tracking #.

In summary: That's 3 more order completed!!

Well guys, after a long wait I finally received that email we’ve all been waiting for. FT just dropped me a line saying my runners have been shipped. Oh boy I can’t wait!! I’m in shock, seems like Christmas is coming early or was that late. Hehe. Either way I’m excited! Now I can’t wait to get my baby back together again and on the road. For the rest of ya still waiting hang in there, I’m sure your wait won’t be long. Runners look awesome. Too little too late I'm afraid though as I won't be using these. (Sold my TPI car)

They are for sale in the Classified section of TGO of Ontario and posted on CCFBG. PM if interested.

After reading a post from one of the members in my regional board, it appears AS&M just didn't care to fill this GP quickly and filled outside orders faster.

The guy ordered in March, got them this week.

went to install my runners today and i noticed one of my runners has a lip....not flat so i would have leaks i called as&m they said to send it back and they will fix it. i really dont know if i should send it back, i mean how long is it going to take them to fix this
should i try to fix this my self? its only about 1/16" dont know if you can see it but heres a pic

I'd dremel that down yourself. At least then you'd know that it would get done in a timely fashion. Their priorities are messed up.
Apparently they're looking at us as non-cash cows. To them, fixing that would probably be even lower on their list.

Response from Ben in regard to next sets of runners and the one that someone claimed was ordered seperately in March and shipped already:

Yeah, I was a little more optimistic on delivery times.
It was just being positive, not snippy bud.

I'm really in no hurry for these runners still, my setup is not waiting for these to get on the road or anything.
I just thought I'd let people know what I had read and inquire on the status.

Other than the stock runners, you should build your own CAI setup. You're sucking in hot air with just a TB air filter.

The runners is what I meant.
I do plan on doing a custom CAI in either 3.5" or 4". Haven't gotten around to it yet. I've been busy with base prom tuning, wiring in trans sensors, re-wiring the radio harness, re-installing the interior, re-routing some wires, blah blah blah. Lots of stuff to do.
2 years ago that TB filter only cost me .1 at the track. At this point the sound it makes is worth .1 to me.
