ok, so i talked to ryan at UMI, he said that setting up a GP would be no problem, sometimes towards the end of jauary, we need atleast 20 people and that would get us 15% off all f body related items, i need dedicated people not soe who will back out at the last moment, let me know guys
Im in for some LCA's. Thinking about SFC, still researching the whole boxed vs. tubular thing
If you are going in a straight line (ie drag racing) boxed is good. If you turn the steering wheel (ie autocross/road racing) go with the tubular. If you use the car for a daily driver, go with a tubular that has a rod end on one side and a poly bushing on the other. Rods ends on both sides are usually to harsh of a ride for a daily driver.
As for the GP, I was think about getting a Torque Arm before the end of the year (since everything is 10% off until then), but if it looks like there is enough for a GP I will wait until January for the 15%!
I would like to get some LCA relocation brackets, and SFC's, and maybe a STB. But definitely a SFC. PM when we are ready to order and give me the info.
OK! so we still need more people this is the list so far, only 14 people are in, i would like to set this up for january so im going to spread this thread around and get some more people in on it, we only need 20 for the 15%, but i would to see 30 if possible

Would the 15% off be in addition of the current 10% off deal? (for a total of 25% off?)
Also, what would be the shipping cost? Currently I can get the SFCs on eBay from UMI for $219.50 shipped ($180+$39.50s/h). At $170 each for the SFC through the group purchase, the shipping would have to be less than $49.50 to beat that.
Tentatively in for SFC's & wonderbar. Is there a dollar amount at which we could get a better discount? It might be worthwhile for both UMI and us to ask them about that, "the best price ever" will draw more people in. I hosted an Accel (SR's, intakes, etc) GP a few years ago that resulted in the largest single order ever placed with them, this forum can generate huge sales if the prices are right.
Do yo uneed 20-30 people to buy the same thing to get this GP deal or can it just be 30 people buying at least something from them? I want the wonderbar and possibly the relocation brackets if I cant get the welded ones off my 4th gen rear w/o mutulating them.
sweet! when will this be goin down im gona be outa the contry from the 1st-16} so i wonlt be able to do anything car related in that time but i deffenetly want in
Only thing that I'm not sure about is that the 15% does not seem like enough of a discount to warrant waiting another month for the group purchase rather than making the purchases now through eBay. Why? Because shipping is more expensive when you buy from them through their website than when you buy through their eBay auctions. For example:
$169.99 (15% off Price) with $62.34 shipping cost: $232.33
The group purchase price would still be $12.83 higher than the current price from UMI through eBay.
UMIPerformance would need to have a 21.4% Off Sale at their site or this group purchase to match the prices available right now from them through eBay.
Thats why I previously asked if the 15% would be in addition to the 10% for a total of 25%.
I'm still in for the wonderbar anyway.
Note: The shipping prices I mentioned above are to my location in Southern California. If you live closer to UMI's headquarters, your shipping will be less, but the eBay shipping will probably be lower than the UMI site anyway.
i cant see why they would charge more for shipping throught their site, i got a quote on shipping a let of LCA's, panhard bar and SfC and it was like 71.50 USD
If I was the 20th person, then I wouldn't throw my hat into the ring cause I'll tell you up front I don't know what "extra" cash I'll have in a few weeks....
....but since you DO have over 20, I'd be interested. I'll check back in a couple of weeks to see what's up!
Hmm I was looking into this more and I see that the online store prices are 9% cheaper then the website All well 15% is still better then 9% on already affortable product.
it will most likely be set up for a 2 week period in which TGO member will be able to submit there orders, and im goingt o try and set it up so the deadline is for jan 31/07

good point, but i wouldn't beable to afford these untel after the 1st anyways. the price is good enough for me. i love bringing my car to the track so i need SFC really bad.
