Id be interested for one item. BUT, i just wanna say, keep in mind guys that UMI hand fabricates ALL their stuff after order is placed. This type of thread usually ends up with some mad people yelling, wheres my order? Well a group purchase means alot of orders, so it takes time to arrive.
The last GP we did with UMI took 3 and 1/2 months for me to get my order, and I ordered on the 1st day!!!! So if you need it quick, just call them up and order it. If you want to save some coin and you don't care how long it takes, then go for another GP.
I saved enough with my last order that my on car adj poly/rod panhard bar was basicly free.
I hate to state the obvious, but it seems everyone is overlooking one very important detail....
Someone has to contact UMI and mention the GP to see if they want to run another one. Talking amongst yourselves isn't going to yield any discounts, lol.
I'm sure UMI keeps an eye on this forum. Obviously the more voice that is spoken, manufacturers ought to respond to this if they want to make money or not respond if they are not interested. UMI if you are reading this, or any other manufacturers, please make an attempt to respond or business might be lost. If i was the manufacturers and had successful group buys, i would offer them again at a specified time of the year, at least that gives the new members an opportunity to get the same discounts others have had on this forum.
so what are the prices the offer with the gp? I'm in.
the last one was 15% off, but this is a thing that UMI, Ryan, needs to know about and setup, without him saying yes, and approving another group buy, you are getting nowhere, and the numbers thrown around are meaningless. As krisb said, a large GP like the last one we did, takes a long time to fill and if you need parts ASAP, its not the way to go. i just received my crossmember mount torque arm from the last GP the other day, and the GP ended in January, but this was due to problems with a new item, so its fine with me, i saved enough for my double adjustable panhard to be free.
id jump right on-board if there was another GP, but what im looking for are tubular a-arms and as of now UMI doesn't offer them...hint hint
Let me see what I can come up with. With the search being down I can't find all these threads to keep up with them.
Let me see what I can come up with and I will post back.
Thank you
Ryan
I am not getting replies so if Ryan/UMI doesnt come up with something, which I am sure he will, contact me via email and let me know to chime back in, LOL. shon@herronperformance.com
What kind of deadline..................couple months? Longer the better for me......it will just translate into a bigger bill for me
With the SFCs does anything as far as fuel lines or brake lines have to be relocated? Does the carpet need to be lifted? What is the purpose of having adjustable LCAs and Panhard bar? Sounds like I better do a search
Ok great guys, looks like we can get another moving then!
I would like to see a few more post that they are interested, but in the mean time I will get a coupon code ready for the site and have a meeting in the office so everyone is aware of this. I will post the details shortly.
Phil, the A-Arms might be sooner then we think. We just completed the G-Body lower Arms (78-88 Monte Carlo, Regal ect) and from what I am seeing is they are almost identical except for 3rd gen uses a strut while the G-Body uses a spring/shock set-up. Sooo this means if all matches up our design is completed we just need to change to a strut mount
On the SFC's you will not need to relocate any lines and no carpet or interior will need removed or touched, they are pretty easy to install. If you would like help with the control arms/panhard please call us and speak with Jerry in tech support. He will be glad to help.
Thanks everyone, I look foward to working with you again!
Ryan
Ok everyone, sounds great! I will have the information posted over the weekend on how to order and codes to use
Yes I will include our 93-02 items as well. A few items that will be excluded are the K-Members and C5 brake kits.
For shipping, we will not process and ship the items until all 20 orders are recieved. So shipping will require patiences
Also PLEASE do me a favor and do not post this on other boards, or keep it to 3rd generation boards only. I would like to keep this as a thirdgen.org GP like we have in the past.
I'll probably be in for some subframe connectors and possibly a steering brace.
It seems like there is enough interest to get this thing done. I counted 18 people (including myself) that seemed interested enough to do it and 4 that might do it, so it looks like this thing is in good shape
