finally some clear tails awesome!!

was just wondering if somebody could pm me and tell me what exactly i gotta do to get a set of these tail light lenses , im a little confused

Go to the sign up page located HERE, then send your interest at the bottom of the page, then send in your down payment with email address and/or name

Down payment is to ensure sale and to get the group buy made official.

Also we might be getting full housings which might bring the cost of these tails from $200 for lenses to $400 for full replacements. Price may be higher or lower, we wont know for sure until lenses are sent in for molds to be made. I heard our tails are easy to remove so i feel getting a housing might be probable.

I sent my down payment in for the replacement lenses, NOT for the full replacements. If I can't get just the lenses, then I'm back out and they can have my $20

I just want the lenses too. Unless you have a broken housing, which you get at a junk yard if needed. You really only need the lenses. Once you have them taken m you can clean up the housings pretty easily. Once we get the lenses in production, then we should be worried about the housing in a separate thread.

Screw that, I'm down for a full out set including lense housing and built in license plate lenses. For the love of god lets get this crackin'. I still haven't seen any pics of the different color choices or combos....

Since you have so much money to waste on things you don't need, can I have your old housings? Mine are a little dirty and I just don't want to clean them.

Now guys, its not official yet and it is two separate molding processes. I am sure they can sell separate or might not do housings at all...the sooner the DP's are in the quciker we'll know.

Why spend @ $430 when you can accomplish the same for @ $200 for the lenses and @ $30 for the tag lights and a little elbow grease to clean up your current housings???????

Really that's none of anyone's concern. If I want it and can afford it that's my business, I don't mean to sound like a ****, but that's just the way it is...

Also, I saw a couple of photoshops in this thread, but it was only for the clear and the all red. I was under the impression that there would be more pictures posted, hence my post.

What if they offered both options. Just the lens by itself and the lens and housing. When I took mine apart I cracked one of the clips on the lens and broke I think 2 of the black plastic rivets that are on top of the housing. I know everyone isnt willing to pay for both if you can just get the lens but with the option of both would make it better I think. Just my

Well lets get the DP's in and then we'll ask for more options. Right now I am trying to get the GB's for the front&side markers and rear third brake light in order (in spoiler).

We need 5 more down payments to get this going, so just to keep this from dying and drum up interest I will send the following items free to one of the next 5 people who sends in their money.

I agree, I never scroll all the way down to the bottom for the group purchase thing. I only found this because of the post on the LED tail lights thread.

we need 2 more victims..I know we can do this, I've seen way too many sets of ugly tail lights out there

so one buy more for your other camaros.....commmon this has to get put into production common!tell your family tell your friends tell your dog ,but if your dog talks back to you....hmm

Why doesn't this company actually MAKE a set first, then try to sell their product? I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything, I just really don't understand.

Because it cost a decent amount of money to make the molds. If they invest the money to make the molds and they don't sell enough lenses to recoup their initial investment, then they lost money. This way they are guaranteed to at least recoup their initial investment. They are in business to make a profit.

Also from what I've heard they used to be a couple of guys in a garage trying to make aftermarket lenses for their community and friends. Now that they are known they are getting into the more difficult products and more expensive equipment to ensure quality....look at www.clearcorners.com this is a 'bigger' company, and all their lenses are cheap and usually use YOUR housings...and are MUCH MUCH more than KLEARZ. So when it comes down to it, this is the best out there...to me at least.

I know what you're saying, but risk is what business is all about. Making the customer put down deposits to provide funding for the R & D of a new product just seems weird to me. Although, I'm no business man. I'm sure they can afford to at least make one prototype.

Anyways, I'm really interested in seeing the final product. Anyone making anything new for third gens is a good thing.

Has anyone been reading this thread on LED tails.

GUESS WHAT, LED tails for the grid style tails are going to be made for us.

these are said to fit inside the housing (obviously) but will need the lenses removed...so I think this is my next mod...LED tails.

That company is making us the KIT. EVERYTHING NEEDED FOR FULL REPLACEMENT OF STOCK BULBS.

Price for that to come soon...might even need a group buy but it doesnt seem like they are doing that as they are dedicated to the GM cars/trucks.

I H8 WWD - Im in for the LED lights too.... So if I want two color lenses it will be an extra $20

As for the LED's, I am unsure what color lenses I want now. Reason is, if the LED kits are white reverse, amber turn, and red brakes with NO TRIGNALE LIGHTS, I will need to get either clear or dark smoked or stock look or that amber will look weird through the red lens. BUT if the kits have red turn, red brakes and red triangle I AM getting DARK SMOKED..maybe even a custom BLACK...as dark as they can before total black...

So until I find out whether these LED kits are going to be stock colors and variation or custom setups per request, I cant get my lenses...or I might have to skip getting the LEDS and settle for regular replacement LEDS.

My luck, already got the sequential lights but not LEDs. I would still be interested only if I could get the LEDs all in red to match the new lenses.
I got toxic iroc's info and notified him I would send out tomorrow (As long as we have the 15 down payments)

I JUST WANTED TO REMIND EVERYONE, WHEN YOU MAKE YOUR ORDER THEY CAN DO ANY BASIC COLOR AT ANY DARKNESS OR LIGHTNESS...JUST SPECIFY.

I am getting my tails to match 5% TINT....real dark smoked. I figure if I get the LED kit from Spaghetti Engineering, I dont want the boards to show through, so I need them dark but still cleared....

I was even thinking on getting the top and lower grid sections painted solid and have just the center row shining through, but then I figured the LED kit wouldnt be worth it...to have all that extra light without it emitting through...

IDK, hopefully we see some custom setups...maybe red with black and green? HAHA
