I am talking with the guys at Hawks about a group purchase for their tubular K-member for the LS1 swap. They are talking over a price and I am supposed to hear back from them this afternoon. I will need at least 5 dedicated buyers to make this happen. So far, I have myself and 2 possible others. Post up!
UPDATE!!!
Hawks is letting us include the regular SBC k-member in this group purchase. So if you're wanting one and NOT doing an LS1 swap, you can still get the discount! You need to call Hawks at 1-864-855-2694 to confirm your orders.

Hawks is giving us $50 off the normal price of the k-member, so it will be $445. Any additonal options are at your own expense. We need 5 buyers to get this price. If we can get 8-10 buyers they will knock off an additional $25.
Yes, you CAN get the SBC tubular k-member in this group purchase. I just recieved an email from Steven at Hawk's and he confirmed this. So get your orders in!
And the obvious question would also be, are they willing to give a little more discount for getting a k-member and a-arms?
That would be something you should call them and ask them directly. As far as I know, nobody else is buying the a-arms with the k-member. I know for myself, I am just buying the k-member right now.
wow very very sexy you say this is available for a norm engine also or is this only for the swap. i have no interest in doing a ls1 swap lol nothing against it just not my cup of tea.
edit: i just looked and answered my own question also i see alot of money i will be spending there lol.

Awesome, the more orders, the cheaper it gets for us! If we get 8 people they will knock of some more money on the price!
well i dont know that i will be in on the group buy but i will be ordering when i get to that stage in my build. it will be a long time between now and then.
When is the dead line?? I return from Iraq soon and would like to get in on it, SBC style. I got about 18 days left in country.
I'm not exactly sure when the deadline is, but with the longtube headers that they had a GP for just recently, they had a window of like a week for other people to add their orders in after the initial group had already got theirs shipped. So you might be able to squeeze in at the end of it if we get the 5 people before you return to the states.

I can't remember what all brands of SFC's they sell, but you'd have to talk to them about a seperate group purchase for those. This is just for tubular k-members.
I guess nevermind, I called today and still we don't have enough people for the purchase. In fact, we were supposed to have only 2 confirmed buyers, but they looked and mine was the only invoice. So I asked if they could help me out with shipping to just bill mine out today because I at least still want one.
yo I am down, all I have to do is order?? any special codes?? It has to be over the net I am in IRAQ and have no phone. I will order one just let me know how to.
I did talk with him and he said I probably had the wrong brackets, even tho I have brackets from two engines. 87 and 89. I used the right side brackets from each and got within a half inch of lining up. Talked to him again, suggested I slot the motor mount perch. Didn't want to do that, so now I'm making a custom bracket. Luckily I am not renting the hoist.
So no discount? I think it sucks that you have to buy the lsx swap mounts still yet even with the ls swap kmember, you would think a ls would just bolt in since its called a " LS1 SWAP KMEMBER"
