84 firebird 500
Does anyone know anything about these 1984 California firebird 500 limited edition mine as a plate on the dash that says 278 of 500
It is a firebird not a trans am or pacecar replica
not many options on it but does have decals on the side with firebird 500 limited edition & a stripe along the bottom that has 500 LE

as anyone ever seen one a why was there only 500 made.

on the website www.pontiac.sk
they have this info but that was all they new about them.

I'm sorry man but I've never heard of it. You might want to post this on the History/restoration board.
It could be just a special graphix package the dealer offered. Also maybe try the California region board. There might be some folks down there that might know.
Good luck with your search. Maybe you've found an interesting piece of thirdgen history.
