88 IROC speedometer

I am thinking about buying an 88 IROC with a 305 automatic engine, and the speedometer in the pictures only goes up to 70 mph. Shouldn't it be higher than this, and can I just buy an aftermarket gauge and fix it?

I think you're mistaking the tach for the speedo. It reads to "70", which is 7,000 rpm's.
