I know this isn't a real tech topic, but I thought this was the best place to post this I could think of. I was wondering if anyone here has seen these before and can tell me if it is something old or new....? It says "1982" on the bottom of the car, and I've never seen a 3rdGen Hot Wheels before except for a metallic blue one. I picked this up for a couple of bucks.
The cast is "80's Firebird". My sig on the HW boards:
This rare version, cast in France, recently went for $123 on EBAY
(I have that one too)
I have almost have every color and variation, some of my favs are the Japanese Knight Rider version and the chrome mail-in car.

i have a little firebird made by hot wheels too, its prob common tho, on the pack it says collecter # 462, along with it's title
" '80s Firebird " at the bottom left corner it says "Authentic t-top!" I have no idea what scale it is since it doesnt say but the car is a dark blue metallic with BBS stle chrome rims.
does any body have this as well?

Yes that one was very common
I was a long time Hot Wheels collector in the late 90's.
But I grew up and started collecting REAL "
Hot Wheels"
I'm already out of room to display any 1/64th stuff.
I do have some in a oak display though, just a few open ones.
I am also out of wall space too! And I want to display my posters too!

I have two matchbox series thirdgens, one in a firebird with the cowl induction hood. The other is a yellow Trans-Am Indy car with what appears to be the mecham wing on the back of it. When i make the trip back home from college i will take some pics of them. Although they are in no means pristine -Bob
