I need to replace the battery in a 1992 Z28 Conv. I would like to replace it with one as closest as I can to stock. I know it is an AC Delco, but not sure of the model number or if it was a 5 year or 6 year battery? I would also like to know the cold cranking amps. Anyone know? Thanks!!!!
Just go to Kmart, they stock AC Delco. Use the book and get a AC Delco battery. Its about as close as you can get to the original. Only part that will be different is the label.
I just had to replace the battery in my '87 Camaro convertible, I went with the 7-year ac/delco, the part # is 75-7yr, the 5 year is 75-5yr, the 6 year is 75-6yr, I think the cca on the 7 year is around 650 or so, for a extra $10 over the 6 year, I went with the 7 year, it has a higher reserve capacity also. I also have a '95 Z28 that I bought new, after taking it out of storage this year, the original battery still starts after 6 years. ac/delco is the way to go. Chris
