I discovered just now in another post that RPO sheets were not found in '82 or '83 F bodies. How about the build sheets?? Aren't they commonly found under the carpet, or are they located somewhere else? My friend with the '83 L69 and I are trying to figure out what the factory options were on this car.

On my 86 I found one sheet under the drivers seat cushion (CHAS03), and a different one under the rear bumper cover (CHAS02).
The one under my seat includes some interior codes, suspension codes, and wheel codes. The codes on this sheet are mainly 2 letter parts codes, and don't directly translate into rpo codes. The only direct rpo codes on mine deal custom interior: AR9 and YR1.
The one under my bumper includes engine, trans, air, cruise, gauges, destination, exaust, emissions, paint, plus more. This one is impossible to read in some areas because it was exposed to the elements from 1986 until I found it in 1989.
I have heard of sheets found on top of the gas tank and under the headliner as well. I haven't found CHAS01 or any others if they ever existed. Remember these were supposed to be removed from the car, not left with it. Hope this helps a little.
I just had my interior torn down to nothin g and it isn't there, maybe I will try the dash area next.

Jason, my '82's build sheet was under the carpet in the bottom of the "well" in the back. My '83's was under the the back seat bottom. Yours may be anywhere. Good luck!

Please everybody who have found theirs, can you tell me where.
Ive looked under the driver seat and passenger seat but no result. So i need more ideas of where to look. Maybe remove the dash or????
They aren't always in the car. They were sometimes tossed at the factory or sometimes just thrown in the car. When the dealer got the car and did their cleanup, these papers were tossed. Unless the build sheets are stashed somewhere that has already been identified, then they aren't in the car.
Holy revival of a dead post!!! I just did a search for my own posts and came across this one. I thought I started it about my '91...not my '89 I sold 7 years ago
