Camaro Emblem under hood?

I've got this 1989 Camaro RS and under the hood on the radator shield or whatever, aabove the latch, there is a emblem that says CAMARO just mounted under there. It looks like its off an 88SC but, it doesn't appear to be just stuck on with glue. It looks factory. Did they do this??

No, someone else stuck it there. I've seen hundreds of Camaro's and none have had an emblem in that spot. GM would not waste advertising dollars under the hood were no one could see it.

Well it does look good. Now if there was more of it that said the engine type, I'd be cool for the car shows.

I added a extra Z-28 emblem to the top of the air box also. Not GM stock. However; it looks good.
