bowling ball hubcap emblem differences

I just got my set of Daytona rims with caps and looking at the pontiac emblem in the center, it looks kind of different compared to the '82's. I was wondering if they really are different, besides the color of course. From the pics i've seen of '82's they seem like the emblem is thicker almost like a plastic where the ones on the Daytona are thin, and look like a sticker. Just curious...anyone know?
