Camaro or Firebird specific parts

We all know these cars are based on the same frame... but there are some interesting differences between the two like the wonderbar that only comes on Camaros.

I was reading Michael Lamm's book and he mentioned some other neat gizmo that only the Camaros had. I cant remember what it is for some reason (maybe the Conteur seat?), but I was wondering what else was car-specific. These cars have fewer differences than similiarites once you get beneath the skin, so to me this is kind of interesting.

I'm just curious if there are any of ther interesting little things.

I also found out from teh book that camaro/firebird fender flares are different. I had no idea until that.

Re: Camaro or Firebird specific parts

The rear quarters on a Firebird are wider then on a Camaro, either that or the angle of the B pilar is different. If you park a Camaro and Firebird side by side and run your hand down the B pilar onto the rear quarter on both you'll see there is a significant different between the two. They have the same inner front fenders, hence why you can put Camaro fenders, nose and hood on a Firebird and vise versa.
Interior wise the Firebird went to an electronic speedometer in 85 while the Camaro didn't switch until 90.
Camaro's got wonderbars, Firebirds didn't. I think that Firebird got the 36mm front sway bars and the Camaro's didn't, however I am not 100% sure on that and it may not be for all years.

The list of differences is huge really...
