1984 trans am vin rivets?

i seen a 84 trans am today but when i looked at the vin plate on the dash it had round rivets , i thought it needed the "flower" type rivets? or is that not true. thanks for the help.the last thing i want is to buy a stolen car.lol

Sounds like somebody has removed the vin plate for some reason. I would ask the seller if they would mind if a DMV inspector could take a look at the car before you bought it and see what they say.

im not sure that all were flowered head ones

i think that i have seen some gm vehicles wqith non flowered head rivets but i cant remember now, i have owned probably closer to 200 different gm cars and trucks since 1994

i can check my 82 t/a and see what it has i forgot now since i had the new windshield installed last fall
does the vin match the vin on the rpo sticker?

howq about up under the rear bumper ? or the fenders ?

check the body tag.. the top row has the sequential unit number of the vin on it...
it is the last 6 digits of the vin code


this will tell you right away if its correct vin
