Question about anti theft option.

I've noticed that there are some Camaros that have something on the window that says something about "anti theft equipped" or something to that nature. I'm not sure of the exact wording. The '87 Camaro that I used to own didn't have it, and the '92 Z28 that I own now doesn't have it, but I remember working with a guy about 10 years ago who had a '92 RS and his window had it, and my cousin's '89 RS has it. Is this an option that those cars had, but mine doesn't? I've always wondered what that was.

Here's what I'm talking about: Note: this isn't my car, this is just a picture I found where you could see what I'm talking about.

Re: Question about anti theft option.

"This vehicle equipped with an anti theft system" or in later years, the years of Theftlock, "Protected with vehicle and radio anti theft systems" the vehicle anti theft system was the Pass Key II or the chip in the ign key. The radio part was the Theftlock. The later version is still available from the dealer.
A lot of times these are issing bc people tinted the windows and removed them, or just took them off for the clean look. I can get some up close pics of mine if you need them.

Re: Question about anti theft option.

The PASS-Key theft-deterrent system became standard equipment on the Camaro in 1989.
If the decal is missing in a =>'89 ride, it was likely removed as RPM WOT L 98 wisley said.

They also normally remove the sticker when tinting the windows.
