Hey guys,
Ive got a 1984 Z28 Im the third owner of. The 2nd owner repainted it. On the 84 Z/28 should I have either a z/28 or a 5.0 HO decal on the right side of the rear bumper. just wondering cause i see all the late 80's IROC's hace one didnt know if gm put them on the early cars.

The right rear bumper emblem on all '84 Z28s is an adhesive version similar to ,and color matched but with a Chevrolet Bowtie, to the Z28 rocker emblems for that particular car. The left side rear bumper would have a 5.0 HO decal if the car came with the L69 (eight VIN digit G for '84).

thanks for the info. i can find the 5.0 decals on ebay that look pretty accurate, i think its gonna take some searching to find the correct emblem though.

thansk for the info i saved a pic of the red ho car with the stuff on the bumper. ill probly buy one of the badges off ebay this week. i want to get my car as correct as possible but still enjoy driving it. I checked out the red one from the pic above on ebay. thats real nice i wish mine was a 5 spd but i think if it was id drive it alot harder than i do. its old i probly shouldnt beat it alot.
