I was looking for a new label for my air inflator bottle and I came across some that say 7.5 ounces on ebay and has the same 9590679 part# as mine except mine says 9.0 ounces? Do all the third gen air inflator bottles say 9 ounces?

Re: Air inflator bottle for spare tire...9 ounces?
The original bottle for my '91 TA is 7.5 ounces. The car was bought with RPO code QLC, P245/50ZR16 tires. If yours has a higher profile tire, your spare may have required more inflator gas.
Re: Air inflator bottle for spare tire...9 ounces?
I THINK WE HAVE FOUND THE DIFFERENCE!
Mine is GM Part Number 9590678, 7.5 oz, 212.6 grams, for E78 14, F78 14, and P195/75D14 spare tires. Yours is PN 9590679 for a P195/75D15 spare.
I know mine fits because I had to use it once back in 1999 when a cinder block fell off a truck in front of me (at 60MPH!). I have never been able to find a dealer or other source to refill the cylinder - I just carry a small air compressor.
No clue on why we have different spare sizes. The door jam label and the tire size match on my car too. I would still look at Ebay - just look for your size and have the seller verify. Good Luck.
Re: Air inflator bottle for spare tire...9 ounces?
Thans for the suggestion. I tried them when I lived in Atlanta and no one supported the fitting on these cylinders. Also tried hobby shops, many GM dealers, commercial gas companies for hospitals, and even fire departments (for a source of suppliers). No one was able to help.
Maybe its time to try again since I am in a different area.
