He has the vin posted now. 8th digit is F. We all know F = 305. This guy im sure dont know much about camaro's. This car is no special order. Looks like its been repainted. Im sure the miles rolled back over , so im sure it has 1xx,xxx miles. It is a clean looking car though. Prob worth about $ 3,500 at the most.
It says 5.7 on motor and the bumper , it must be a 5.7.now that I think about it, I think that would be fruad. I hope some poor guy doesn't buy it thinking it is one of 50 made.
The guy sent me an email back and said he was told by the guys on Thirdgen.org that it is a 5.7. I asked him who said that and what was the proof. Still waiting for an answer.

Unfortunately, I can't say I don't believe him. There's enough bad information spread on this website to fill a warehouse. Of course, none of the knowledgeable people would tell him it's a 350 car. However, there's enough people on here who think they are experts on the cars yet know absolutely nothing about them that would tell him that's what it is. Just start a post about pre-'87 350 cars or 350 TPI/5-speed cars and more than likely you'll have some idiots chime in about how they know they exist. He states people have been e-mailing him saying the VIN shows it's an L69 305 car. However, the L69 is a 305 carbureted engine so that goes to shows that even though some people have been smart enough to tell him it's not a 350 car, they still don't know what 305 engine it is.
The best part about this guy is that he claims to be some huge IROC collector but yet he knows absolutely nothing about the cars. I think his best statements come in the paragraph he added later. "the VIN shows 305 HO L69 which is equivalent, I guess, to 5.7 or it's a 5.7. L98 350 TPI or L69 305 HO TPI both are rare and the car is being sold just as an IROC to solve all questions. These cars are all the same except options to me." HaHa...spoken like a true expert!!!
I agree, it's a pretty nice looking car but it definitely looks like a repaint.

I wonder where he got the only 14 are left of the 50. AND if it WAS a 1986 350 car then it would not have had AC, nor T-tops... At leats that is according to the literature that I had.
Although for being a perfect 10 car the headliner appears to need fixing.

It hurts my head to read the seller's explanations. The more he tries to say about the car, the more confused he sounds!
Here's my favorite quote: "3 mechanics have looked at the car and have had arguments over which one because of the increased horse power." My question is, how did they know how much horsepower it had from looking at the car? Did they dyno it? What good mechanic would not be able to read the emissions sticker or decode the VIN to determine the engine size? Most counter jockeys at Auto Zone could do this. Sounds like his "mechanics" are about as knowledgeable as he is...
With supposedly 12 IROCs, you would think he would know something about these cars. Then again, you know what they say about a fool and his money...maybe I can slap an "LT-5" sticker on my throttle body and sell it to him as a one-of-one "1992 ZR1" Camaro for his collection.

And it's in the wrong position on the rear fascia, all the way to the left. All the engine designation plates and decals were centered more or less under the left taillamp not slammed all the way on the left side of the bumper cover.
If you're going to clone one at least put the emblems in the right positions!!Also the car is missing all of the black/gold stripes that run just above the rocker panels. This car is just a run of the mill '86 305 TPI IROC in my opinion.
I was going to comment on the "hidden in the trees" pictures and you beat me to it! I particularly like the one he posted with the branch in focus in the foreground and the car blurry in the background. That's a 1 of 50 5.7 inch long branch and will be worth a lot more when it's in bloom! bid now!
