I was curious to see what the market is now on a 1989 1990 Iroc-Z with a 350 4 disk brake camaro is. I sold mine to my Dad to avoid my ex-wife getting her hands on to it and man I wish I was able to get it back. it might be possible but if not than I am going to be in the market to getting one once I get back from my next deployment. I wouldnt care if it a t-top or hardtop just as long as its not a convertible. I will be moding it a bit but if I found with a 6spd trans already behide it, it would be awsome. Just curious to know what they are going for in price. Also, gentlemen, Be prepared for me knocking on someones door somtime in the late 2010 year with cash in hand.

Re: 18 months from now

tough question as a lot of price has to do with location when I was at APG, Md my car could probably get around $4000-$5000, here in Germany my car even in the now depression I could get around €5000 which is around $7000. If you PCS to Germany after your deployment I might even sell you my car, maybe.

Re: 18 months from now

I'm in the market for one right now. I'm looking for a 87-89 ROC, 350 preferred.

I would pay 7-8K in very excellent condition for a 350 or 305/5-spd with black interior and black or red or blue exterior and T-tops.

For 4-5K I would expect an engine rebuild or paint job in the near future.

I wouldn't pay over 8K for anything.

Don't expect to get much then. You will not find a very excellent condition car for less than $8k every day. There are some exceptions to that, but they are rare and you need to be willing to travel to get it. Otherwise, expect to pay more than $8k for your expectations

Well put. One may get lucky once in a while, but market price for the condition requested, even in this crappy market is still higher.

JohnKnight, good luck on your deployment.

Re: 18 months from now

I know a guy he just paid $5000 for a really nice 144K 92 Trans Am L98. Personally I think the market on these cars is increasing even though the economy is tanking.

At this point most of these cars that are anything with a TPI or better is collectible worthy IMHO. Anything with a LO3, LG4 or lower is what you usually find for next to nothing. The L69 & CFI cars are in the middle right now from what I can tell Some people want them, but more people want the TPI.

With all that said, Try to Buy it back for what you sold it for...

John
