I thought I would revive this pic and this car, in case anyone is interested in it. A 2.5 liter GM 4-cylinder getting low 13's and putting out 272HP, in 1983. Not bad, considering the mass-production Iron Duke put out 88HP at the time.

I want to think that I may have an article about a similar engine that they were putting in racing Fieros. it even has GM part numbers to make the engine IIRC...
If I get a chance to scan it in I will... of course I would have to find it first.

The real 1984 Indy Fiero Pace Car had a version of the Super Duty.

The article I have has the GM part numbers as well.
There is actually another article about the Fiero, in the booklet/Mag which also gives specs and how to modify parts etc etc etc. I do not have time to actually scan them all in.

That is so awsome! I would love to have an iron duke Camaro whooping on some LS1 cars. And it's pretty cool they did that back in 83. I would like to see what they can do with todays technology on that motor. Adam :-)
