rear cargo cover dye

I have a 90, and my cargo cover is purple. I read there are vinal and canvas covers. Mine does feel like material, so I am guessing it is canvas.

Does anyone have any experience dying a cargo cover? It really looks bad, and I would like to make it black again. I do not want to spray it with color fabric spray, I am looking to dye it some how.

Thanks...

you may not have a choice . i used dupli-color spray on mine and it turned out well . i laid mine out on a flat surface , good cleaning , both sides . i used purple power cleaner/degreaser , hung up to rinse & dry well . then sprayed with dupli-color . turned out good . let it dry for 2 days , still looks great . good luck .

you are on the wrong board. you need to get into your car, drive to a cloth store, the ones all the ladies use to make dresses, curtains, etc, walk in with it and ask what they have to die it, permanently.

mine is black canvas and it needs a die job too.

spraying is good - but you may want the color infused into the material and not just painted on.
