If it weren't for ther red interior that car would be worth every penny of $40K in my book!

I feel bad for this car, 20 years old and it's never been used the way it wants to be. I don't know how anyone could own this for that long and resist the urge to drive it like crazy.

I'm with you on that one!
If I bought it, I would have to drive it immediately. I wonder what condition everything is in mechanically after just sitting forever...
Hope they started it over time!

I hope anyone that wants to buy a car like this and drive it is someone who realizes they should NEVER buy a car like this. Buy one with 30/40k on it, pay 1/3rd the price and drive the hell out of it. Don't buy one with 20 miles or 4.3 miles and drive it.

i thought 1LE's didnt have radios, but im sure its really a 1LE im just not thinkin right
Even "true" 1LE "track" Camaros (non-B4C cars) could theoretically be ordered with just about any option, except A/C and fog lights. There is even some debate about the existence of T-top equipped 1LEs -- some people claim to have seen them. Most 1LEs did come very lightly equipped, however.
Unlike mine, most 1LEs I've seen that were ordered for street use do at least have radios. Then again, no SCCA racer would order a track car with an automatic, like this car.
Too bad it's not an LB9/5-speed, or I'd be interested...

I wouldn't be able to resist putting 1k miles on that baby the first week I bought it!!! Damn I know that guy who got the 4 mile 85 Roc wish he waited. I much rather have that 1LE!!! Oh well they are both awesome rides.

I agree! Killer car but IMO it's not a true race car as the 1LE was intended.
I'd almost go as far to say at the end of the day there will be a 10-20% premium for 5 speed 1LE's. I predict we will see a lot of well taken care of 350 1LE's because they were posers and not raced. Am I krazy?
FWIW, I'd also be extremely interested if it was a LB9 car....
Is that the way the airbag is supposed to look like? I always thought mine was messed up from 150k of use, but it looks just like that.
That's probably not how they INTENDED it to look, but that doesn't mean that more than half of them didn't leave the factory looking like that. My '02 was like that when I picked it up new.

Ouch! Damn t, those are some harsh words. My Auto was raced. I grabbed every document to prove it while it was available...got a few pictures too. Don't think just because its an automatic that it wasn't raced. Owning a car with a race pedigree makes it just that much cooler. I hope some day all our cars go up in value, but i don't see 305s' being worth 20% more. If anything, the 350s' should be worth more. Again, all this is my opinion.
P.S. if you want to see my stress cracks i can get pictures of them.
